Cutting poles

I want to cut my poles but i have a problem i can't pull out the grip. My poles are elan do you have some tips to pull out the handle i tried with an vise but it doesn't work. Are they glued or something...? Here is my problem

run warm water around the bottom of your grip and then give er a nice pull and you should get it

if you cant get them just by running warm water over them, fill up a bucket, laundry sink, ect. with hot water and let um set in there for a couple of minutes and you shouldnt have any problems...

Stick them in a doom jam and pull to the hills and back
