Cutting of the arms on my jacket!

okay so I have a oakley bradford jacket (2010) in XXL. and since I cant afford any new jackets I'll just make this a bit cooler! haha
but the seams doesn't go all the way around the shoulder. it stops like the half way. does anyone have any tips for what I should do when I come there with the scissors?should I cut more out so that I can sew it in (if you know what I mean?)or should I just cut it right over for a clean cut?
sorry if my english is bad!

^oh ok. i would just cut it where you want it cut, and then you can fold the fabric back inside of the hole you just made, and sew in like a circle around it to make it nice. if you don't want to fold it in, you can just sew a normal circle around it and you will just have like the ends sticking out, but you would have that anyway even if you cut at the seams, so i would just cut it where you want it, and sew it down.
