Cutting down poles?

Just got a second hand pair of salomon aluminium poles with some skis. They're a tad on the long side- can I cut them down and then replace the baskets easily or should I sell them on ebay and get some different ones?

 
haha, cut them from the other end. Pull the grip's off mark them cut em and hammer the grips back on . Easy

hahahahahahahaha, that has to be one of the best ones yet. Just pull off the handle (leaving it soak in hot water is gonna help) and the just use a circular saw to cut it. never cut a pole from the bottom

 
circular saw is overkill, Dont do it or you will end up with barely any finger's like me just use a hack saw. Saw's bite like a motherfucker its not worth it.

pop the grips off and cut from the top. Problem solved.

cut em with a hacksaw. it works fine, and then you dont have to go through the hassle of selligni them .

You need to put the grips in boiling water for about

2-3 mins. and bingo they come right off.

....Don't take No from someone who doesn't have the authority to say Yes....
