I said hello to you from a ways away and we exchanged a few words, you rode away and then wrecked yourself. You laughed, I laughed, the creep that was following me laughed, and we waved off. I skied a bit further and you said hello again and so did I, we laughed again and we rode different directions. Who are you? Will we speak again? Come ski with me. I miss you.

Lesson learned though, right? It's respectable to err to the side of caution in public but sometimes you gotta make the leap and ask that person if they'd like to see you again

Not trying to be saccharine but I met my wife when she was my waitress so I'm always going to nudge people toward rolling the dice

I literally did bro. Basically I was in a restaurant with my buddy getting dinner. This girl comes in with what looks like some family members, and sits in a booth facing me from like 20 feet away. I had a huge black eye at the time. I shit you not, and I know it sounds corny, but she was the hottest, most beautiful girl I had ever seen. I legit could not stop myself from staring at her constantly. Thing was, she was doing the same thing. I was literally captivated by this girl. I wanted so badly to talk to her, but with her family there I felt like it would be weird for everyone, especially with my black eye. Time goes by and we cannot stop looking at eachother, like solid connection that had me totally rocked like I had never experienced. It was really wild. They get ready to leave and I start to panic that she's going to walk outa there and I'd never see her again. And they leave, and from outside the restaurant through the glass she looks back at me again with this look that I'll never forget.

Anyway, I'm fucked up from the whole thing and because its a big city I know I'll never see her again. Late that night somehow Missed Connections pops into my head and I'm thinking that's so whack, and she'll never see it. But I make a post anyway describing her and what happened.

The next day I get a Craigslist email, which I still have to this day, that simply says "how'd you get the black eye?" And I know its her. And the rest is history. We fell head over heels for eachother and are together still, years later, and click perfectly.
