Cut-Co

Anyone have any experience actually working with them? I went and did the interview. It seems okay, no door to door or phone lists is cool. I'm trying to decide if it would be better than my current job (political surveys over the phone).

You really pick shitty jobs to do. You can do way better than being a cut co sales man.

You have to pay for your own knives. So you start the job ~$400 in the hole.

Everyone i know that's ever trained with them (including myself) cut ties the second we learned this.

cut co knifes rock. So freakin sharp. I can cut perfect slices from a tomato while it just rest on the cutting board

i would advise against it. it starts off by calling all your friends' parents and neighbors and they feel guilted into buying overpriced cutlery they don't really need. they will one day accidentally cut themselves with whatever you sell them and tell you about it.

if you have a bunch of rich family friends who have money to burn, you might be successful. personally it wasn't for me. not sure if it's better than your current job or not.

i think i gave it about 2.5 weeks and quit to bag groceries for slightly above minimum wage. let me know if you have any other questions- as a disclaimer it was 10 years ago when i tried it, they may have changed but i have my doubts

if your gonna be part of a multi-level marketing scheme at least choose one that you dont have to pay to be a part of

Sounds like I'm deciding against it then. Get yelled at by elderly people actually sounds better than something.

it isn't so much a scam as it is taking advantage of people too stupid to realize how the business works.

I've know a few people who realized how they functioned, and took advantage of it and made tons.

others ended up owing them money because they're stupid.

It's still fucked. Fucking making money by guilting people into buying over priced shit. There are better ways to make money. Also the whole thing is such a joke anyways.

they really arent over priced. they are expensive but the best kitchen knives money can buy. you can spend way more at macys on knives that arent any better.

I didn't have time. There were a lot of good trolls that I just couldn't follow through on. Being on the road traveling all summer with no internet most of the time made me miss out on a lot of internet goodness.

At least those fucks stopped calling my phone. I really should seek them out and set up a meeting though. Ask if it matters if I have a felony animal rape charge on my record.

I've had numerous friends that were asked to give it a shot. Not a single one of them made it past the initial class of "this is what you're going to do."

that would be a pretty funny thing to hear. I'm not sure if I will have the time to effectively troll them either. Job # is not friendly to when the training is for Cut-Co.

So you're one of the people who calls me when I'm jacking off and asks me about my opinion on the presidential race? Fuck you.

When that happens to me I just ask them what they're wearing

Tell them what I'm wearing

Tell them where I'm placing my hand

Tell them what articles of clothing I'm removing

Tell them how much I want them

Moan loudly

Could go on but generally ends by step 2 or 3. Worst case you blow the biggest load of your life. Especially if you get one of those raspy crack addict chain smoking grandma type voices on the other end.

If only everyone were like you. I love it when people do funny, obscene things to reject the phone call. Most people are just lacking in creativity and tell me to fuck off.

if you don't understand what multi-level marketing is do a little research, basically a glorified scam. I know a few people that made bank doing it, but most of them did not. They also all called me trying to get me to buy knives, fuck that shit.

There was a class-action lawsuit that they lost regarding the purchase of your own "sample" set. My brother sold it for a little while, made a few hundred off the settlement from the class-action.

I don't see why they shouldn't be able to do what they do. If people are dumb and give you money whatever. I mean look at gambling.

You can sue for everything these days. Fuck. I don't blame them at all for trying to make some loot.

The interview I went to last night had a good few minutes focused on the fact that you do not need to buy the sample set anymore. Regardless, I am not going to be working there. This can die now.

They prolly already made there money. It's brilliant really. I admire their ideas.

I've been planning my own for years. Hoping I can get something to work out and get rich easy.

Multi level marketing is not a pyramid scheme. It takes a dickload of dedication, my brother and sister were mildly successful at similar things, (sister did cutco) but I wasn't interested in convincing people to buy things they didn't actually need. Imo thats what it comes down to.

Ir kind of is. It's just a nice sugar coated version. They probably made a fuck ton off of people buying the sample packs. Seems like that was the basis for the business.

Then when you sell it you're not really selling it, you're guilting people into buying shit they don't need to help you.

There are plenty of ways to make money without being a douche.
