Custom made skis

so i have a few hookups with free epoxy and free metal pipe (which is been utalized for rails) and i am thinking of makeing skis it will take awhile to get all the materials needed but i was wondering if people on here would be interested in custom skis based on what they want for wieght, pop, stiffness, graphics, base, edges,camber/rocker.

sounds like you are gonna need a lot more background education on making skis. the process is much more complicated than you are probably thinking. making a press is a task of epic proportions and that is a small step in the big picture

welll with my pipe connections i will be able to save from 700 to 1000 dollars on the press's frame so the only thing i would have to purchase is the MDF materail, wood, bladder, valves and i have an air compresser so like $50 for the whole thing
as for price i am not sure yet i will be makeing i few twintip waterskis this week just with a clamp press and after i make a few solid cured waterskis i will go on to the more difficult to make snowskis. they will still be prototypes so most likely sell them for $50-$100 over materail cost due to quality control so like $200-300 depending on how well they turn out.
this is all still a long time away but i am just seeing what type of intrest there would be before i try to dish out like 100 skis that i cant get rid of

People will be much more likely to get some after a prototype has been made proving you aren't going to send them 2x4's with bindings on them lol.

Also, you should reverse engineer the afterbang, and sell it to people before it come out, for less than line is selling it for. Solid business plan right thurr

well of course but prototype would be cheaper
and the afterbang is just horizantly laminated with no sidewalls wwouldnt be handto do at all
