Saw a few posts online about Look making some sweet looking custom pivots, wanted to try and do mine.

Happy with the first attempt.

Step one disassemble the toe piece.

Step 2 Sand clean and prime:

Now that the toe pieces are prepped primed and ready to party

Step 3 get your HydroDip prepped. I'm not going to get into a ton of detail about what hydro dipping is there is a ton I MEAN A TON of info online use le google.

Step 4 carefully and gracefully dip your toe pieces, then rinse under warm water until slim is gone.

Step 5 repeat step four ( bonus points for staying hydrated )

Step 6 once your toe pieces are dry hit them with a few coats of clear coat to help make the graphics last longer.

Step 7 Reassemble and enjoy.

Super badass, OP!

Now you reeeeally need to find some of the US Ski Team Full Tilts from the olympics a few years back!

Couldn't find a pic of the US team boots, but here are the GBR ones. Same idea.

OP if you pair those with these skis im pretty sure a bald eagle will find you and follow you down every run holding a Bluetooth speaker blasting the national anthem

Those are sick! It might be worth taping off the window for your dins so the lines don’t get covered up. That is unless you plan to keep your dins the same all the time.

Is there a clean way to do the heels too? I feel like there's a side hustle potential here

attempting the heel pieces eventually. Need to disassemble first, also wanted to see how durable the toe pieces are. Standby haha appreciate all the love guys ?

Even if you do plan to keep it the same, it should be visible so you can ensure that it is where you remembered it, say after you let some friend use them or you drunkly change then and don't remember.

Op did you take all the springs out too?

i always thought it would be a nightmare to have to put a binding back together

The Pivot 15/18 toe piece is pretty straightforward to disassemble.

I was just gonna say that pivot 15s and 18s are real simple to disassemble. Anyone who’s curious tho please know it will void your warranty so keep that in mind!

Pretty straight forward but again this will void any warranty. These looks are 10 years old so I didn't really care. Using a Phillips #3 (the biggest Phillips you have most likely.) Unscrew the from screw all the way out. There will be a black plastic cap over a big spring. There is a small plastic spacer under the bottom of the spring. So pay attention when disassembling just make sure you know how it all goes back together. Once the spring and plastic spacer are out you can push the tow piece down to remove the tow from the tower and rod. Make sure to grease it before you re assemble.
