Custom footbeds made by dr.

i really wont a pair of custom footbeds, but none of the ski shops around me make them. there are however a few foot doctors in the area that make custom foot orthotics. I saw a few threads on this but i would like a little more input. would it be the same thing to go to doctor for some footbeds. if so should there be anything i should ask for specifically. thanks for the input

Orthotics as I know them are not a full foot bed. They are usually just for under the arch of your foot for plantar-fasciitis etc.
But you might be able to get full ones, I'm not quite sure.

I have the white plastic doctor made orthotics that go just past my arches

they are fucking amazing. i wear them in all my shoes, and they have cured knee, back, and arch problems.

i have tried them in my boots, and ehh, i donno. they are flexible and meant to be put in shoes that flex. putting them in ski boots is kinda pointless. our store has these heat molded full foot custom foot beds. they relieve pressure point and fit your foot really well for comfort.

A posted orthopedic will be corrective, which can be a good thing for a lot of people, which is something a shop can't do. However... a orthopedic footbed doesn't necessarily follow the same physiology as what a ski boot requires. In a ski boot, you're ankles are locked into a a single pivot, unlike walking where it compensates for a lot of things.

Therefore, I dunno. haha
