Just curious to talk to any UBC kids out there...

I live in Breckenridge, CO and go to Colorado Mountain College. I chose to go to CMC because I'd get to ski everyday, which I do... But I was err... "gifted" in high school and the education program isn't doing it for me.

What do you like/ not like about UBC?

How much do you get to ski?

Any recommendations on living etc?

I'm not usually a city person, as I have been raised in small resort towns my entire life... but I've heard that Vancouver is one of the best cities in the world to live in.

What do you like/ not like about UBC? I like thats its a good school near good skiing. Generally nice people, good looking gals, beautiful campus, lots to do. I don't like

thats its so fucking big, hard to meet people in many classes, its rains a ton in the winter, that its pretty much a city with students and old people. Vancouver is cool in terms of big cities, but like you said it a big city, and super trendy one, and people aren't always friendly off campus. Lots of international people (no beef), lots of racism (lots beef.)

How much do you get to ski?

I ski probably 50 times a season while taking 4 courses a semester

Any recommendations on living etc? If you want to meet people live on res, if you want to save money and ski live off campus, kits, dunbar, anywhere near a sky train.
 
So who the fuck is going to that beta theta pi house party this weekend? I know I'll be there.
Also go to UBC it's cool.
