Current "King of Style" standings

so sick!

based on just the footage in each of the submissions harlaut should win it. i expected way more out of wallisch's than what he put.
 
How is that Bergeron kid in 2nd place? He is better than me, so I want to establish the fact that I think he is good, but his left arm is always flailing around in the air on his tricks. Not a fan of that style at all. He looks like Mosley circa 98'
 
he does an amazing sw 12 and his edit it fo shure better than hornbecks regarding technical stuff, and unfortunetely thats still what teh judges want to see at a comp, big spins and dubs
 
We should call it the "Statue of Liberty" switch 12 or maybe the "gimme a left handed high five" switch 12.

If that kid wins over Wallisch or Hornbeck then there can be no justice in this world. Plus the contest is called "King of Style" not "King of Landing a Trick Regardless of How it Looks", so Hornbeck's video is still better even without the switch 12.
 
Difference is, Paul shots is shot only in whistler, so theres bout 14 days of footage in there... no private session with a huge film compagny and shit... I agree that he can't beat wallisch or henrik but still, kid slays it hard dawwwg don't diss

yeah for real dont diss him he slays hard and he'd have better chances if he could've filmed with a huge company and private park but whatever harlaut's wallich's and gallardo are pretty ill 2

I'd love to see Paul B take it. All the other guys seem to be either pretty sick comp skiers and/or have multiple segments with pretty big name film companies.

It would be refreshing to see what the new kid on the block could throw down when given the opportunity.
 
Someone please links HH's. From all of them I watched today it's Wallish FTW. Didn't see Henrik's though. Still can't get over Tom's double....
 
king of style is just the name of the comp, the judgingin the past years took concideration of the technicality of the tricks too.

 
i want bergeron or gabriel gallardo to win, cause like bishop said, it would be cool to give them the opportunity to get some more recognition
 
You guys know that they're gonna take the 25 submissions with the best rating and let a jury decide which 2 of those 25 riders that are going to get in the comp, right? If not, now you do. So it doesnt really matter if you're number 1, 12, 17 or 25th on the list just based upon the rating, cause you still have the same chance to get into the comp.

And dont take the name "King of Style" too seriously. Cause it's just the name of the comp, other than that its just like every other city-comp, with the same judging system as all other comps. 2 years ago Henrik had the best sw 10 of the whole comp in the qualifiers, with solid grab and stomped with afterbang. And didnt even get through to finals. Now that doesnt say much if it wasnt for the fact that both the winner and the runner-up won with sw 10's that wasnt as good as henriks. And theres other examples as well, but the point is that style doesnt get any more rewarded in this comp, then in any other. But "King of style" is a cool ,mainstream-appealing name I guess.

It's too bad, cause it would be sweet if the point of the comp was to actually pick the "King of style"..
 
huh, i thought cosco might be up there, his edit was wicked. i mean i really like gabriel's style, but personally i'd rather see cosco ahead of him after seeing the way he's been throwing down lately. henrik ftw though.
 
wow..i am kinda disappointed.. i am sure it will be a great comp and all..

but i was really hoping that this would be predominantly about style

 
hahahaI can't believe he actually submitted the video to them. He is actually in the competition. hahahaha
