I'm pretty sure my 13 year old sister used to watch this years ago.
 
Nah she watched Gen 3 or previous, which is all crap. The only internet hype is for gen 4, which came out last year around this time
 
Because it's surprisingly good for a kid's show, and showing stronger, while still stereotypical role models for young girls. One's a tom-boy, one's a bookworm, one's a hard-working farm pony and one's a fashion designer. It's been brought up to snuff to be more contemporary and more rich in it's Flash animation style with anime influences.

Add that on top of that most of these 'bronies' are very child-minded young adults and the soup is ready.
 
Also the show is genuinely fun and funny. It definitely took some getting used to the idea. When my friends first talked about it I thought they were fucking crazy. Then I watched it and couldn't handle the songs, and now I'm totally into it. It puts a huge smile on my face.

Its not for everybody I understand, just looking for some like minded individuals and for some people who may give it a chance.
 
Watched it on YouTube and it's pretty good, watches the first episode, it's kind of corny because it's my little pony, but I don't mind it, actually pretty good, who'da thunk
