CU 2022

There wasn’t a thread for this yet so I guess post anything here about CU pertaining to prospective freshmen for next fall.

I applied early action (out of state) and just got my application out two days before the deadline this month, which is kinda late I know but I’m still anxious... has anyone here gotten an acceptance letter yet? I heard rumors that they might not be doing rolling admissions this year and that they’re releasing all early action decisions on February 1st, but nobody really seemed to know after a bit of googling.

Sko buffs!

Applied there EA as well. No acceptance letter yet, but to be honest I haven't really done any research on when I can expect it.

On the topic of CU, their academic scholarship for in-state students is great. If you have the numbers, you can get $5k a year.

CU is a joke to get accepted to, don't stress. Although, fair warning- we just got a heads up that the school is increasing tuition costs for freshman quite a bit.

Why do people say CU Boulder? I don't think anyone immediately assumes you mean C Springs or Denver when you say "I go to CU". Is there something I don't know about it? Maybe it's just people out of state?

It's because they want to make sure everyone knows they live in boulder ;)

I've heard some people call it Ski-U before

Maybe because that's the name of the school? Crazy guess.

Also yes they are doing rolling admission lol.

It's University of Colorado. And then there is a CS and Denver campus. People who go to Nebraska don't say "I go to Lincoln". That's what I'm getting at, I don't know anyone from Colorado who says that but maybe people in Boulder do. I've always called the schools CU, CSU, Wasted State, or Mines.

Update: I got in and I enrolled skrrr

Hmu if you're gonna be a freshman in the fall, my ass is gonna need to find a roommate

I applied early action, got my application in like mid October and haven’t heard back so I’m assuming they are releasing them all at the same time

Haven’t heard anything from them yet. How did they notify you?

Sorry this is late lmao, they sent me an email in December that said "Application Status Update" and then on my app status page there was a link. When I clicked on it, it showed my acceptance letter. I got the same letter in the mail like 2 weeks ago.

THATS FUCKING Crazy. CU is for fucking spoiled brat bitch kids.

Or those on scholarship and want good aero. But for most individuals I'd agree- tuition is stupid.
