Yo NS,

I'm from the Midwest and I will be attending CSU this fall. Who else goes or will go to CSU? Just tryna find some other NSers in the Fort Collins/CSU are that would be down to shred. I will absolutely know nobody. I am a ski photographer too, so I'd be down for some urban shoots in the area.

Cheers

i really want to transfer here, i think i may go to Front Range for a year first though.

Front Range is a great idea, I'm on my last semester here before transferring to CSU in the spring. I have saved sooooo much money from knocking out all the classes I can.

Bump. Just got accepted. I'll probably go but the fact that I got accepted makes me think tha academics are gonna be shitty lol. So how are the academics, social life, skiing, other stuff? Thanks NS

I now live in the east but I'm from foco and go back pretty frequently, would definitely be down to shoot photos and shred!

I think the academics aspect of CSU is great. My profs are awesome.

I'm down, let me know when you're in the area

Guess I'm a year late here but I'm about to send in my housing application and thought I might get some advice from you guys. So yeah what dorm should I apply for? Are they all the same or are there certain ones that people prefer?

Yooooo stoked you're coming to CSU! I'm currently a freshman living in Allison Hall, it's quite a bit older than the others, but it's way better than Newsom or Edwards or Towers. I don't know what you're grades look like but (I'm pretty much a straight B student) but some of my buddies are straight A/ 4.0GPA and they live in Laurel Village or Academic Village. Those are by far the nicest dorms I've ever seen. If you can get into any dorms at Laurel or Academic, do it! If you're like me and pretty average when it comes to academics, Allison is pretty rad, you got Spoons (restaurant) you will learn to love, and it's sooo close to all of your classes. It takes me about 5 min to longboard to class. Also Corbett and Parmalee are pretty nice.

Summary: Just don't be in the Towers (Durward & Westfall) , Newsom, or Edwards if you don't have to.

Let me know if you have any questions brother! Feel free to PM if you have more specific questions, I'm glad to help!

Yeah I was in Allison last year, it was pretty chill. Laurel village and Academic Village are definitely the nicest, also the most expensive. Newsom sounded like a dump from what my friends said. The location really isn't a huge deal because you can get pretty much bike anywhere on campus in 5 minutes. People-wise, most of the halls seemed pretty cool. Laurel village is a lot of athletes, and AV is a lot of smart people, but in the end I didn't even get one of my top 7 or however many choices they give you so my choices didn't matter. CSU is tight though. *shameless self promotion* check out the Outdoor Club when you get here, its got a lot of cool people that like to get outside.

Don't attend CSU but I'm from foco and make my way back there a few times a year. Always down to link up with NSers and shred or drink some beers and smoke some doobies.

Just started at csu. Definitely looking to get up to the mountains as much as possible this winter. If anyones looking for someone to throw gas $ im your man

Im in Allison. Room faces the campus police station /: but its still been a good time so far. How'd you get up to the mountains as a freshman? Should I join ski club?

I just tried to make an effort to meet skiers, which for me was hard because I didn't know anyone who went to CSU. Most of the people I ski with now are people I met on my hall or through the Outdoor Club, which meets at Avogadros Number at 8:30 every Wednesday *shameless org plug*. I don't have any experience with the ski club, but there is Snowriders which runs shuttles to various resorts each weekend. Hit me up if you want more info about Outdoor club though.

I had my car here, so that was as plus. I didn't always drive though, one of my friends folk's have a suburban so we would take that often. I met most of the people I ski with through my church actually. Not a ton of NSers here. Still gotta shred with ya boy Luke ^^^^
