I'm moving from out of state to Colorado and I cant decide between these two colleges (Colorado State and University of Colorado at Colorado Springs). Anyone go to these colleges? I've visited both colleges and still can't decide. I want to be as close to skiing as i can and the Springs is an hour closer and less expensive, but the town is really churchy and conservative. I dont know if i prefer a big or small school so that doesnt help. Fort Collins seems kind of cool, but I really didnt see much of it. Any info that might help me decide?

I go to CSU and its a lot of fun, Fort Collins is a great town and there is a lot to do here. I'm pretty sure you would have more fun here than at UCCS, it might be farther to the mountains but at the same time you are going to want things to do during the week and based on what I've heard from kids who live in Colorado Springs, there is nothing to do there. If you can't afford CU its a great alternative and the drive to the mountains isn't as bad as everyone on NS says it is

Or you can just not live on the front range and live in a place where you can drive to a place with actual snow in a reasonable amount of time. Shit you could live in Sacramento, that is like the C Springs of CA (sucks) and closer than C Springs to Summit County.

Why does it suck so much there? Helpful information would be good. It has great mountain biking, garden of the gods, pikes peak, and i would drive to the mountains every chance i got, I know the city is very churchy and conservative, but thats not reflective on the school. What does Fort Collins have?
