Crowbar MX cheaper.. why?

I've been looking around the internet for Crowbars, and I can't help but notice that Crowbar MX goggles are so much cheaper than the Snow goggles. Anyone know why? I could only think of 2 reasons:

1) Most of them come with a clear lens or similar, none of the iridium stuff that snow goggles come with

2) They realize that there are more snowsports consumers willing to pay more

I can't really imagine that the frame is any different material-wise, because I bet the MX guys need just as much protection as we do, if not more. The only difference I could see was the nose-guard, and that's removable. I suppose problems we could run into are the snow lenses not being compatible with the frame.

So have I found another way of getting hold of sick frames/straps/outriggers, or have I missed something?

I do realize there is the crowbar part trading thread and all, but this is just to satisfy my curiosity, which I don't think is gonna kill me this time.

someone can back me up on this but i believe the outrigger arms are bigger, then lenses are double lenses there only single, and sumone said the strap was bigger to fit over there motoX helmets, i know the lense noseguard and outriggers forsure cuz i just read a post about this like yesterday somewhere but someones back me up???

here it is

Pklink04 says:

Outriggers

MX: long lower arm

Crowbar: Short lower arm

Lens

MX: Single Lens

Crowbar: Dual Lens

thats all i can tell from the pics

and someone else said the vents are different Nick_7557 says:

probably the vents but why would you want an mx goggle

the big difference is the lens. Not only is it a single lens, but it is a cheap plastic whereas the snow lens are thick, dual lens that require much more technology to make

Yep, he got it.

Snow lenses are dual density, moisture sealed to prevent fogging...MX lenses are cheap, single density ones, not nearly as good.

So I'll reiterate my question:

Will snow lenses be able to fit into MX frames? Youknow where the lens clips into the frame, are they in the same places?

Not to my knowledge...you're welcome to try it, but as far as I know, no one has ever put a snow lens in an MX frame.

I own mx crowbars and normal ones and I actually never even tried swapping lenses because the mx frames are actually pretty different looking at them closely. but fuck it i'll go try right now for ya...

well that's not happening. the mx frames are way stiffer and more annoying to work with, lens shapes are slightly different, and the slot the lens goes into is a little too thin on mx frame so you can almost sqeeze them in but overall this is a no go fo sho.

the outriggers dont work interchangeably because they MX ones have longer arms on the bottom and connect closer to the nose of the goggle than the snow versions. the straps might fit but i cant tell from the pics whether they connect the same way or not.

snow lenses are also spherical while mx aren't. don't know if that's been mentioned yet.

also, outriggers, straps and frames are not interchangeable in between snow and mx.

essentially, they are a completely different goggle.

NOTHING between them is compatible. i have a nasty pair of MX crowbars i bought expecting to be able to cross them, totally different, even the strap attachment
