Cross your fingers boys and girls

Oh man, the industry sure could use some back-to-back good winters.

I never believe this stuff. I'm convinced weather people are just guessing.

It's amazing how these oscillations affect adjacent areas so differently

Like La Niña dumps in the cascades, but El Niño means less precip in the cascades but more around Northern California

Yes, this article was from 09/2010; if those of you who are so quick to complain would actually read the article you would see this:

"And because he thinks the next 2 years will be dominated by a major La

Nina, then cold winters are expected to strike beginning in 2012-2013."

He was correct about the last 2 years, so I'm hoping this prediction continues to stay right on track.

Of course weather is difficult to predict but as far as long term forecasters go, this guy is considered to be one of the best. Thus if there is anyone to have less doubt in, he's your guy.

that's dated. more recent models are pointing towards el nino. not that models really mean much.

This. After last season in the East, I'm never listening to another August/September snowfall prediction. Last years snowfall was less than or equal to donkey shit.

This. I will never trust early weather predictions......the news can hardly get stuff right that is a day away, let alone a month.

Dude I heard El Nino died out... idk if this causes less snowfall nationwide. and i have no idea what this will mean for colorado, but i have a feeling that its gunna have a late start and flip a switch into winter overdrive...it has to make up for the drought....it has too
