CRJ vs Armada JJs

the worst thing would be to get a pow ski that is too short. With the amount of rocker that both those skis have, you will want to go with the longer length.

This. Definitely not the 165 CRJ, hes way to big for them. Is he growing?

If he's done growing he might get away with the 175 JJ or the 172 CRJ. If hes gonna grow he'll want a bigger Ski than that by next year.

"Elf Shoe" is armada's way of saying rockered every company has a cool "technological" way of saying rocker.

Elf shoes is the 5 dimension thing right ? Not another way too say rocker. Correct me if im wrong tought

yeh i think its rocker camber rocker + 5 point.. but i'm pretty sure CRJs also have all of those..

dude elf shoe is not the rocker. the elf shoe is the hour glass shape it has. it is referring to the reverse side cut in the tip and the reverse side cut in the tail. looks similiar to an elf shoe....

get the JJs no question.

the CRJ length is far too short and on top of that has rocker, making it ski even shorter.

never skied the crjs, but i have skied the jjs... so I'm not really in a postion to compare... but the jj is such an awesome ski; charges absolutely everything! You won't be disappointed with the jjs trust me!

i have the jj 185's i'm 6'3" and i wish they were bigger. but im gonna have to snap them in half to make me want to give them up.

Im 5'3" 118lbs riding the 175 JJ mounted +2cm from recommended and its money. That ski is not too big for someone that size, tell him to sack up.

The Elf Shoe tech is just a name Armada gave to the combo of Rocker in the tip, camber underfoot and rocker in the tail..

From their website':'' EST FREERIDE ROCKER

The best of all worlds. Rockered tips and tails combined with positive camber underfoot to promote flotation in soft snow and provide remarkable edge control in the harder stuff. ''

So the elf shoe part has nothing to do with the reverse sidecut parts in the tip and tails..

Most important is that the CRJ's also have reverse sidecut in the tip and tails, 4FRNT just doesnt hype it with 5 dimensions.. If you look at the picture of the CRJ's on 4FRNTs website you can clearly see it..

To answer this question we need to know what he will be skiing, were and how. You have to match the ski' s personality to the style of the skier. In addtion you chould consider getting longer sizes especially with the early rise, they will ski shorter and float better.

JJs. I am a little bit lopsided in my opinion but JJs are amazing for everything. However, there's not too much difference between the 2 skis though the CRJs have less side cut than the JJs. Oh and also definitely get the 175ish length both skis ski short.
