yeah your editing was pretty seamless.

skating coulda been better, but definately a solid edit. nice work.
 
Jesus that was sick as shit, I can't imagine how long that must have taken you. Now all you need to do is find some better skaters to film.
 
1. There were a few parts where it could be masked a little better, but for the most part it was spot on.

2. It's like a minute too long. Cut that shit.

3. Wasn't exactly my choice of music, but it matched it pretty well.

Props overall.
 
I like how people say the skating could be better. I personally thought the skating was pretty solid for how young the kid looked.
 
around 1:06 it gets super sloppy, notice the kid in the background mostly, fix that up and itll be way better.
 
thanks guys.. It was hard with lighting on that day because there were so many clouds

i used after effects cs4 to edit it and a canon HF100 for filming!
 
Entertaining to watch - cool idea. Editing must've taken forever. I would've liked to see some more creative shots, but at the same time you were really limited because of the masking to come. Overall pretty sick man, I'm a fan.
 
pretty sick. masking gets some wows all the time :P

what id try now is to work on tracking so your shots arent just still and you can have some camera movement. even just on some shots scaling it up a bit and doing some digital drags if you dont want to do tracking for everyshot.

a couple shots where the riders over lapped kinda glitched out a bit. but i can tell your new at this and you still did a good job.
 
Ok, that was pretty damn cool I must say, a great job and real good skating...but I have to ask...did you take the name, idea and even title text straight from the Knife Show?
 
haha i knew some people were gonna ask me if i took this from knifeshow... actually filmed all of this and started editing before knifeshows video came out.. so i didnt even know that they were doign something similar
 
pretty good id say, im tryin masking for my video class in highschool so i know how hard it is to get it just right, there was one part on the picnic table where the right side moves like right at the end of the shot, but it was pretty good non the less. question: how do you do the titles at the start, been wondering for so long!!
 
Knifeshow has been around for much longer than just that one video posted in ski gabber? a week or so ago.. I'm not being a dick, just sayin. Still impressed with the edit though, maybe you can come up with something else thats equally as epic but brings something of its own to the table.

kid no one believes you. Snow clones came out well over a year ago. And I wasnt paying that much attention, but if that ^^ kid is right and you stole the same text then thats super fishy.

the bitch about filming them sperately is the shadows and lighting can change between shots, and its really obvious after editing....

but word good job
 
Why are people bitching about if it looks like snow clones?
The kid still did the work and it looks pretty good. Who cares if someone did it before, that just dumb.
Props to the kid who did this.
 
Because he claimed that he has never seen snow clones, and that he started filming before they did.

Clearly not true, unless this was filmed last summer.
 
So you wouldnt mind if my trailer this year was exactly the same as lets dance? I will claim it as my own and say that Ive never seen your trailer..
 
I might find it amusing, and feel kind of honored that you would want to put out the same kind of work I do. Not to mad tho.
But, yea ok the text is the same as is the effect, but I mean its a different sport. I would do the same thing with skiing if I was trying to learn how to do that.
Maybe he is lying and is is directly copying their work, that shit happens, yea lying about it isnt cool but its whatever. I'm really not seeing the big deal here.
 
I dont think you would feel so honored if you had this new idea, I saw it and attempted to copy it, then I blatantly told everyone that the ideas were mine.

I completely agree with despite. here.and not once has anyone said that it was a bad job or that it sucked, in fact the opposite. I think that the job done is amazing and props for some good work. ( also by the way, to the other poster...there IS skateboarding in snowclones ) its just that what he has said is simply not true.
