Maybe not. After you roto-cork, let the ski cool a while, and then brush the crap out of it!

If you scrape the wax well in the first place, then all you need is to brush the hell out of it.

So no need for corking if you pay attention to scraping? Or would the roto-cork still add something to the mix?

Corking is mostly for applying fluorocarbon racing overlays to add a bit more durability to them.

If you are not "racing", don't worry about it.

They are also used after rubbing on wax. (no iron)
