Recently went on a trip and my a lil edit on it. Wondering if theres any thing I can improve on or fix for my next one. I'm shooting on a Panasonic GH4 with a 14-42mm lens(noob alert). I edit with adobe premire pro. Thanks

Here's the link:

not going to lie the editing seemed to be all over the place. There were random cuts dotted all over the place that didn't seem to make sense within the edit. e.g 0:07, 1:23-1:34 etc.

I'm also not a fan of the constant reversing of clips, it happened several times through the edit where you'd be panning and then reverse it, then reverse it again, i found it pretty distracting and difficult to watch.

Constructive criticism time, stabilisation would have been key, lots of shaky shots going on. Smoth shots can make a world of difference, and will generally be more pleasing to watch.

Next would be to have some idea of theme or at least direction you want to the video to go, do you want chronology within your shots, do you want all the similar shots together etc.

As mentioned above, lots of the editing felt very choppy and sudden, especially the final few clips. Several shots were out of focus in a way that didn't really make sense. Stabilization is key, so try and implement that next time.

The overall quality was pretty good, and I liked the timelapse work. Didn't have many major issues with the color correction either. Just work on making it all together flow a little more smoothly, and consider while editing what you're trying to accomplish. There is a good edit in there, it just needs some further polishing and fine tuning.

PM me if you have any more questions
