ok the drop in is 8ft hight. the down has two 8ft kink sections. then a 16ft box. the box is 1ft wide and 1.5ft tall. i plan on using 1/4 in HDPE or should i use 1/2 in. is it better to have a down ramp off the box or is it unnecessary.

yah hes one of the people going to help build it. and by that i mean help pay lol. im designing and doing most of the building lol
 
J -waltz check out this site www.diyskate.com they have some interesting plans that you may find useful. I built a 6' high drop in w. an 8' trany that has been posted on here that I can find if you like. I have it on a 5 foot hill in my back yard which helps. It is rock solid cost about 180$ before prices started going up. I personally would go a little higher than 6' if you can

What do you plan on using for the top of the box? Im building my summer setup at the moment and i coudnt find any reasonably price plexi glass like materials for a box, everything else from your setup looks like mine and will work great.
 
i plan on using HDPE its a lil pricy but i hear it works great. its like 55 bucks for a 4ftx4ft sheet. but if u still want something cheeper try PVC piping. i hear it works great but you can catch an edge if ur skis have sharp edges.
