I had all this footage in fcpx which nearly stopped working... was able to export it without music into a mov for fcp7 and finally could get back editing again.

tips?

 
I know I dont have an orange name, but DAMN!

anyone want to take a few minutes to watch this for me?

I felt like the skiing intro was a bit too long, seeing as there were less than 5 actual urban shots, but it was well done nonetheless. The mirror effects were unnecessary and I really didn't like them. That's just what I think and it's my opinion, somebody else may thing it's the tits. the cliff shots were dope and the lighting for that was prime. The colors were nice but it did get a little boring at times, especially the longboarding.

I think it could be shortened up a bit, and I would get rid of the mirror effects, but it was well done.
 
Everything was good up until the mirror effects. Try to keep effects like that down to a minimum. It Also seemed a little bit drawn out in some parts. I don't know if you wanted a specific video length, but you definitely could have shortened it up just a tad.
 
so long... so little action. i mean there was some tight stuff in there but some kid fucking up on a double backflip is funny but not really necessary
 
twas sick but the mirror effect was a little weird, and the song didn't rly fit ha but other than that I loved the variety of shots! looked dope, good job man!

yeah I have a soft spot for the weeknd, lots of people hate.

i used the mirror effect a couple too many times but Im super super stoked on the mirrored shots of my buddy on his longboard with the palm trees in black and white, and the sunset where I mirror down the middle
 
Nice work hitting sjam in the summer, its cool to see a quality edit of tbay skiing/summer stuff for once.
 
-I wasn't a big fan of the effect at :26.

-Some of the vignettes we a little strong. Maybe make them a little more transparent.

-The xray was a little hard to see. Also it might have looked better if it had faded in and out.

+I actually liked the song.

-Pan at 1:12 was a little rough, not a big deal though.

+Damn that finger was messed up.

+Shots starting starting at 2:18 look great.

+I really didn't mind the mirroring either but there was a little too much. Shot at 3:00 was dope.

 
You had a lot of super sick shots in there but buy to be honest, I couldn't stand the editing. There were a ton of jump cuts and some of the effects were just plain stupid. It was also really long and I found myself skipping around. I thought that the opening shot of the trailer was money. Some of those cliff jumping shots with the sunset in the background were also super sick. I think that if you just tightened up the edit by getting rid of unnecessary shots and cleaning up transitions then this edit could be pretty on point.
