Critique my edit

Hey guys just looking for some critique here,

Id say this is the first edit where I've really spent time trying to color correct / somewhat grade footage, so any tips on that would be warmly welcomed

The edit bangs yo, the grading was dope, it was super subtle which imo is best, should just feel natural which it does. Editing was dope too with the track

Super clean edit. I really fucked with the VSCO cropped video vibe until he said "You Ready?" Only critique I have is just try and fill the frame with the skier a little bit more. There were a few shots where part of him was cropped out but the B-roll in there was pretty good.

Really loved it, man, not sure if I'm OOTL but I've never seen the style with the frame around the actual film, like you did at the beginning but it's dope. Grading is really good. What camera are you using, and any stabilisers?

Most of my footage was shot using a gh4 on a glidecam, or a gopro on a gimbal pole... Kole had some other shots he wanted in the edit and those were on an unstabilized canon t6i. (Hence the exercise in grading haha).

Pretty much this. I really liked the cropped frames and going into the full frame. Maybe turn the transparency on the water up a little bit so its more subtle? idk, i found myself getting distracted when the skier was in the corners of the frame. And same thing said above, keep a little more distance and dont snap from take off to landing. Its super hard to do but just get a feel and track the skier a little better so he's in the frame and not cut out from mid spin to landing. Saturation in the video was a bit off from 0:18 - 0:22 but thats probably because of the sky so just make sure the video is uniform throughout. Thats just me nitpicking, overall the video was dope as hell. Looking forward to watching some of your stuff in the future!
