Critique my AT setup - looking to buy this fall

*Warning: giant ramble post, lots of details though*

So I basically haven't posted here in over 3 years, but I attached a screenshot of a possible full AT setup I put together myself (skis, skins, boots, bindings) from our good friends at evo. I did this after a bit of research on everything, and wanted to make sure everything checks out, but be warned: I have never skied AT so I don't have any sort of practical background, only what I know from what I've read. I do however, have extensive experience with both alpine and cross country skiing, so its time to combine them >:)

My skiing info:

Currently I'm living in the Alps

For terrain, I kind of like everything, but if I had to split up my average time on a mountain, I would say:

Trees/powder: 40%

Bumps (unfortunately hard to come by here in europe, but if I found a mountain with a bunch of bump runs): 40%

Park: 30% (mostly rails/jibs/boxes, some jumps, but no crazy aerials)

I of course like ripping the occasional groomer as well.

I've been skiing since I could walk; 18 years.

As for touring, It would be something like everyother weekend, only day trips, and nothing very serious like big backcountry bowls or anything... although I would eventually like to build to that - taking avy training, backcountry trips with groups, etc. (I'll probably take heat for that last line, I think there are some out there that would say touring with no avy training is stupid, but there are truly some safe spots here e.g. what are in summer just grazing fields but are open to touring in the winter - near 0 avalanche danger, but yes i realize it can happen anytime anywhere)

So, post half finished, my questions are:

Will all these work together? With this question I mean more physically (are the measurements correct, could you physically make a setup with those exact products. Here is my reasoning so far:

-The boots are size 26.5 so I think they should fit in the markers (Boot Sole Length – 305-365mm) (but how does the 26.5 convert to sole length??? not sure...)

-The edollos have a waist of 98cm so i think the markers should fit on them (they say up to 105cm waist skis)

-The skins are within the length of the edollos, so they should trim to size fine.

Second is the more "feel" question: Would YOU rip this setup? My main concern is that putting an AT setup on all mountain/park skis is weird, I know a lot of people like putting AT bindings only on skis specifically designed for AT.

Third is about mounting: With an all mountain twin like the edollos, i've heard people almost always do center mount, or most 2/3 cm behind center, if they are going to put AT bindings on them.

Fourth: I'm worried about the K2 boots, half the reviews are from guides who have used them +200 ski days and say they are awesome, other half say pieces were breaking off within the first season... anyone have those boots? which reviews are correct?

Disclaimer: I don't know what other's people's budgets are, and I don't want to look rich or anything, its just I literally haven't bought skis in 5 years, and i haven't bought boots in 10 O_o so its been a long time coming for a tasty setup.

Okay, sorry for the rambling but this is a huge investment for me and i wanna get it right - Thanks all and looking forward to shredding in a few short months!

if you go on evo or any boot manufacturer site they'll usually have a size chart where it shows you what the bsl is for each size of each model

F10s are sweet if you dont weigh much and aren't hardcore. say sub 130lbs/60kg. They are lighter than dukes/barons and many people dont need the extra. Although if you are on the heavier side the f10s will wear out quite quickly. Evo also has Tyrolia Adrenalins that are super solid for a similar price.

The 26.5 pinnacles have a 306mm bsl, so they would fit markers large frame bindings however unless you are sharing with people with bigger feet theres no functional reason to go large over small. Save a little bit of weight and if the boots dont work you arent limited.

Along the lines of boots not working. A well fitting boot is the most important part of any kit. The Pinnacles might work for you or might not. Best to see a fitter and get a boot that fits even if it is 2-3 hundred dollars more. Better to buy once. Realistically getting a more touring oriented boot, like the pinncale, isnt 100% necessary for getting out and going walkabouts. If your current boots work for skiing, dont bother with changing them for touring unless you are going on big multiday adventures. You can always go down that road at a later date.

Ive mounted touring bindings on dollos before. There are better options for strictly touring use but if you think youll like the way they ski, go nuts. Probably wouldnt center mount if you aren't going to be spending time in the park. 2/3 back or recommended, depends on how much time you will spend in the air on them, they will ski better the closer you put them to reco.

No experience with Line Skins, could be amazing, but brands like black diamond/g3 are highly regarded and will work. For the sake of 20/30 bucks you may aswell. Make sure the length matches the range and the width is comparable, better to go wider and cut back.

I'd recommend most of the comments above regarding F10's slight lack in durability, the boots fit being of utmost importance, and the Edollo's being soft for an all mountain ski.

Although I personally like getting skins directly from manufacturers like BD or G3, Line's skins are made by Pomoca which makes great skins.

Do you know who makes armada skins?

Nice setup! If you end up wanting to get some new Intuition Boot Liners check out fluidmotionsports.com for huge discounts. Good luck with your purchase!

Imo for boots it's best to look at ones with a walk mode that are not full touring boots (ie dalbello lupo or technica cochise and lots of others normally in the big section on companies website) as for bindings I wouldn't recommend marker bindings for touring, other than kingpins, I'd recommend adrenalines. as for skis that's preference, id get custom on3p (98 or 108 kartels with a tour layup and tail notch) if I wanted a jibby tour setup

You definitely want the small markers over the large. At least with the dukes, Small fits up to 325mm BSL, which is like a 28.0. if you get large you will be at the very small end of them, which isn't ideal.

Also, a more traditional mount will make kick turns a little easier, will float in powder better, but from my experience, mount your skis how you want to be skiing them, especially for the casual trip.
