Critic my edit (biking)

So I got my 7d a few weeks ago. I have just been shooting as much as I possibly can and already see myself getting better.

Rainy Afternoon Ride from Matt Anderson on Vimeo.

Few things I noticed:

-Lots of noise in the shots. The iso was at 4000 most shots because of the lack of sun.

-Some underexposure on shots when I didn't want to boost the iso any higher and needed to keep shutter speed at 1/125.

-Time lapse seems to drag on. We need filler to get to the break of the song for the last 2 shots.

-Time lapse was obviously not filmed the same day. Just wanted to test my first time lapse and we need filler for the edit.

Anything else you guy noticed, please let me know. I am always trying to improve.

It was shot on a Canon 17-40mm 4L lens and I used a Manfrotto tripod with 701HDV head. Nothing else.

It also just goes to show how good the 7d's weather proofing is. I have never seen it rain so hard. It was literally a car wash and I had nothing covering my 7d. Before you go throw a bucket of water on your 7d, all Canon L series lens' are weatherproof as well.

Finally, ride is Graeme Duff. His username on NS is UNREAL. He kills it. Sorry for the long thread. Hope you like it.

I don't know much about mountain biking edits, or filming in general but i enjoyed the edit.

It should also be noted that Graeme duff kills it on skis as well haha.

Final time I am going to bump this. And I just realized I spelt critique wrong. Talk about embarrassing...

I know it's a pain for biking to hike and film etc. but the locations and shots themselves weren't all that exciting. I find filming DH works better with moving shots but obviously you don't have a zipline etc.

also, some of the shots were a bit cramped and you weren't fully in the shot. Idk how to explain that one.

don't get me wrong, I liked the edit but there's my critique.

pretty good job. obviously there were the lighting issues which are tough in the woods, but the landscapes kind of blended together in parts. great shots of the non-biking. I think the bike shots would look better in regular speed. How do you like the video mode on your dslr? I am about to buy a nikon d90 and I have heard that the video quality isn't actually that good, but yours was great.
If you want some inspiration for cool shots, check out this trailer.
