Anyone skied there this year? I'm goin there from dec. 23rd to jan. 1st with my parents and am lookin for someone to ride with. I'm 21 and they won't let me bring any friends so i'm gettin pretty desperate since neither of them have skied in the past 5 years.

I hear their park is gonna be better since the Okemo people bought it, but I was wonderin if anyone has any insight on this one.

never been there, but my dad took a year off from college to live there. that doesnt really help you though

i live in denver, but was considering hitting up the butte after christmas. hit me up before you go with contact info and maybe we could meet up.

 
anyone know how okemo's park is? i hear cb hasn't had the best snow the past few years so it could be one big park sesh for me...good rails at least?

I've been up there 4 times so far (i live about 100 miles away) and it has been fun so far, especially considering that they only have their jib park up so far (6 rails....teardrop, 10ft, C box, 20ft kink, 12ft flat box, 25ft rail)....but I hear that their main park will be opening soon and then their superpipe should be opening fairly soon too. The snow has been good up there so far, a few weeks ago they got 55'' in three days, and then last week they got another 18''. It should be a rockin' good place to be.

ok, i'll have my parents cancel the house in colorado so that i can go ski in vermont. Can't wait to ski all that dry vermont pow. honestly, can you really compare the two other than park? the mountains are better, the snow's better, nice try tho

'just go to utah'.. well maybe this guy wants to ski good terrain so i would not reccomend utah... pending on we get some more stuff open, but yeah the butte is by far the sickest place for sick terrain

^^ actually, jay peak tends to get more snow than some western resorts. but i've never skiied out west, so i really can't judge.

always wanted to ski the butte, but i've got no money, and live in NY. which = screwed.

I skiied there when I was like 10 on a family holiday so thats like over ten years ago and I can't remember anything really except my little bro getting lost after all the lifts had closed down and us waiting for ages for him. He eventually made his way to the bottom.
