Crazy stuff you've seen on the highway

oh big deal, i've seen many zebras on the highway! ...oh yeah, that's because i live in kenya. crazy shit is always happening on the roads here but i luckily haven't seen the accidents that apparently always happen. back in the US of A i've seen some sick motorcycle wheely-ing and fast driving, but in peru i saw a car that had crashed into a street light and the post had fallen over onto a car and a kid crying with a very bloody head. not a good sight at all. oh and an upside-down semi truck in the ditch in my hometown. i've also been in a traffic jam on my way to DC i believe, where an asshole was driving his pickup truck through the grass ditch in between the two parts of the highway, and my dad flashed his high beams at the asshole, who proceeded to get out of his car and start yelling shit and threatening to fight my dad. i was like oh shit but luckily my dad, who's a vegetarian, didn't respond so the guy left us alone.
 
I've seen alot of shit but one time i saw a tank and an APC on flat bed trucks on the other side of the highway in which case i was like omgwtf. and last november on the way to skiing i saw a house being moved on a huge truck down the highway with like a police escort...which i was also like omgwtf.
 


this guy passed me on the freeway, and about 3 km farther down the highway, this happened.

i also saw a plastics plant explode while driving to work last year.

and a guy jump off an overpass.

my friend saw a truck going down a road goin about 170 km, hit the curb, flip over about 5 times, and every time the truck flipped, another body was thrown out. horrible stuff.
 
While driving through Banff National Park (pretty much the border between BC and Alberta) there was a herd of 30+ Big Horn Sheep all standing in the middle of the road and licking the road for salt.
 
i saw this huge motherfucker eating a burrito and we followed next to him for a while and after he inhaled that shit he looked around to see if anyone was watching then picked his nose and ate it...it was intense
 
on my way to the airport at 4am( i had an early flight) i saw car fly past me loose control and flip into a tree scary shit whennit happens right in front of you
 
i was driving to a hockey tourny in detroit and it started smelling terrible. A manure trucks back opened up and literaly "shat" everywhere. There was a car pulled over behind it completely covered.
 
on sunday when i was coming back into detroit i watched a car blow up and the family just walk away. this was like 245 in the morning.
and then an hour before that the construction workers were tearing down a bridge on I-75.
it was a very strange couple of hours....
 
I saw the same thing when I was little. The guy jumped infront of a loaded semi filled with cars. I dorve past the skid markets and blood stain every day for a year before it was gone. Every day I thought about that poor guy and how he chose to end his life
 
one time on the belt parkway (brooklyn part) I saw one guy get cut off, he then pulled next to the car that cut him off. They started yelling at each other and then the car that got cut off accelerated ahead of the other guy and started throwing everything in his car out the window trying to hit the car behind him. I saw mcdonald's bags, bottles, a book, but the best was when he took his shoes off and threw them. good times lol
 
I was driving in the car with my girlfriend, and she is kinda a slow driver...and this guy was hauling ass behinde us i see, and he is swerving..so i was like, "watch out for this doucher behinde us, he is hauling balls and is drunk"...so she turns into the middle lane, he passes us..and when he is about 25 yards ahead of us he swerves into the median and does a flip, and then spins...but just drove off like nothing ever happened....his car was a little fucked but he just got off at the next exit ramp..is was dank cuz dust went everywhere.
 
i was driving down this shortcut off what i think was rt 2. i forget around irving MA and these 2 huge mexican guys were stuck in the snow and asked me to take this girl who looked about 12 or 13 back to her house. apparently she was dating one of them. pretty wierd shit
 
i saw an accedent near halfmoon with a blanket over a booster seat.... watched the news later that night it was an asian couple and their 8 month old baby had died. that shit is fucked up, also i saw a bunch of black people wearing reversed pink bandanas in an old chrysler
 
I was on the highway and saw a sick car race type thing. Like 3 lambos and 4 Ferrari's were halling ass down the highway it was pretty sick.

I saw this on youtube and thought the dudes car was on fire. Then I thought its amazing he could blow flames as tall is a 3 story building.
 
so me and two of my friends go to the train station to pick up my sisters boyfriend and she says he can drive back so we all get in the car he starts reving the shit out of it on the onramp we go from 20 to 112 and eventually make it to about 127mph this is a 2004 VW Jetta 1.8 turbo so this was about topping out then the oil light comes on and i guess he didnt notice because we kept going at like 115 for another half hour and as we are going up a hill passing a semi the car dies. everything shut off and we are in the passing lane so eventually we get off to the side off the road and are engulfed in a thick smog. it turns out he actually melted the cylinder heads destroying the engine

This is unrelated to the thread but my dad was telling me about how when he was 7 he saw a dog walk across a train track and get hit. He said that the little dog just trotted across the tracks oblivious to what was barreling down on him. One second it was there and then it was just gone.
 
i was driving home from my uncle in MA and i saw this bike gang with these sick crotch rockets get on the high way and all the sudden pop these sick wheelies, like you see in those videos.
 
was driving to canada and at the border there was a van smoking pretty badly, not just under the hood, smoke was billowing out of the windows. no one was around it either, not even police or fire trucks. it was just chillin on the side of the road
 
saw a car that had swerved across the intersate median and basically drove across an 80mph intersate, his car split entirely in half, and there were like 3 cars flipped and more crashed.

but in the car that was split the guys legs were hanging out and he was on his back (dead obviously)

they didnt know what happened but they think the guy fainted or something.
 
i was driving to work and we got over taken by a police car like a mile from the junction onto the motorway, anyways as i pulled up to the round about there was an ambulance and must have been 4 police cars, i looked at the turning before mine on the roundabout and there was a care with a pushbike underneath it, then i looked into the middle of the roundabout and over the barrier there was a stretcher next to the cyclist, he got hit from the turn on onto the hill which drops down onto the motorway

the guy must has flew about 35ft at least, i didn't know what happened but that was gnarly

another time i was on my way home from work and there was a car in a ditch on a sharp bend and there were loads of police ambulance and fire trucks there, they were cutting into the car. i saw flowers on the tree a couple of days later so the driver or passengers probably died
 
driving down a smaller two lane highway the traffic slowed to like 20 mph for an accident. A car hit a telephone pole and was somehow stuck to it. Then i look further and a dead man was in the road, and apparently a alive person inside the fire dept was trying to rescue. It was scary/crazy
 
Driving I-70 thru Idaho springs, I was going W and I always scan the highway with my eyes, never know what will happen. I see a mini van roll over the cement guard rail and almost land in the river below. I pulled off the exit and went back onto the E lane and activated my emergency lights (Firefighter) and then saw like 15 mexicans running all over the place. So I try to talk to them, see if everyone is ok. I look over to the other side of the car and there war a little girl still halfway under the way, she was ejected and the car rolled over top of her. Crazy part is the girl was ok but we called the Heli in and transported her to the hospital. Was a crazy scene, highway was closed for hours.

Another time I rolled up to a scene where a WRX lost control and went onto oncoming traffic and both cars blew up in flames. That was very crazy and nasty.

 
there was this one time were two cars were street racing (bmw 320i and a mustang i believe) and they came to the bridge that crosses the river i live on, and one guy slowed down and the other rear ended him into the guardrail and went over and into the mud ( it was low tide) and somehow someone was ejected from one of the cars and got crushed under it. We took our boat up when we saw what was happening and it was the crazyist-ass-shit i have ever seen
 
On my way down from Tahoe last year, I was passed by two hummers, looking very important and in a hurry. It was a storm day, chain control and all. One of the hummers had a "keep tahoe blue" sticker... lol... anyways three or four miles down the road, I saw the two hummers and a toyota pickup in a ditch. stupid soccer moms with hummers who think they're invincible...
 
my friend and i went to go get taco hell and as we pulled out of the drive through and going down the road we saw a suburban get t-boned by a little honda thing right in frount of us, he had to swerve to avoid the back end of the suburban.. it was eppic i was holding a half eaten burito and watched a car accident..
 
On I-80 going from Tahoe to Sacramento i've seen some weirs stuff. One president's Day weekend a truck had melted on the highway and another time in the Summer I thought there was a fire on the exit ramp and it was a fucking truck's breaks. Not just a little smoke but the whole truck was nearly hidden.

Near York PA i saw a lady going the wrong way on a divided interstate hit a car head on. Both drivers were killed i think. It took forever to get going again. so fucking scary
