Crazy backyard setup

I bet it is not expensive as you think. What would you consider expensive for a backyard setup? I bet that set up is under 3k. Which is really not much money in this expensive sport. Plus you get to ski and jump year round. Which to me is well worth the price.

I'd expect it to be about that.

and to the guy saying you get to ski all year round, it really isn't that great, he barely goes over the jump, still cool, but it's not worth it.

Read the comments in the video on youtube. The kid who uploaded it said that the airbag was 1800, and the ramp was about the same. So about 3,600. Which isn't bad at all for something like that.

Ill bet he enjoyed building something with his dad, part of the enjoyment comes not just from hitting it but the building process as well.

Save your money man. This is a pretty expensive backyard setup but that doesn't mean that you cant build your own backyard setup for less. Keep a lookout for up and coming promotions and products from Msnow. They are really changing the game on backyard setups and year round training.

I doubt these people are "rich". They have a modest house on a nice piece of land. An older truck in the driveway. I mean, 3600 bucks over the course of 2 years isn't very much.

I think it's cool and even when he does get bored of it he still has the memory of building something pretty rad with his old man. I wish I could have done something like that. Pretty cool.

His parents arent loaded, they are most likely middle class. They just arent afraid to spend a little money to make good memories.

I agree 100%. Plus it something that can be used year round. $3600 is nothing over the course of a few years. Skiing and snowboarding is expensive. Summer ski camp, plane tickets, lift tickets, equipment...ect, is all very expensive. Why skimp out on your backyard setup if you want to progress? I always see threads about the cheapest surface, plastic snow fencing, astro turf. My opinion purchase good quality materials for your setup, and it will last you many many years.

The synthetic surface he is using blows. This is why it's important to use a quality product. The first clip of him hitting the jump, he hardly gets any speed, they have to soap and wet the surface. This is why mSnow is awesome. No h20 or soap needed. If you want more speed the mWax is badass. The 2 combine gives you a surface that blows away any other surface. Best purchase I have ever made. Especially because we have no snow here

I'd make the assumption his dad is a builder/handyman of somesort from the looks of the garage. I'm sure it didn't cost as much, because they did it themselves.

I just saw that video the other day. At first I thought it was completely ridiculous, and crazy expensive too. I wish I could have enough money (or convince my parents) to build me something like that and buy an airbag that will sit on the lawn year-round. But it might now be that bad i dont know...
