Craziest Air I ever had!!!

I got back from spending a week at Mt. Bachelor and found that the entire terrain park features where changed around, it was like skiing a whole new mountain! But they made two new kickers that looked huge! So I went and hit the bigger one and fucking gnolled this shit and was like fuck I can’t get enough speed from the drop in that they set up! After my experience I was think that the other jump was the same way, so after deciding on the lift where to drop in from we chose the begging of the park which would put us 200 sum feet away from the jump. So my friend pussies out and tells me to test it and being the dumbass I am I was like whatever and dropped in. Basically I tucked all the way through and hit the lip and instantly saw the landing disappear… and landed in the fucking flat 20 ft away from the third line mark that tells you that you better land now. Somehow I landed. Patrick said I was 20 ft in the air and the park manager saw me sailing. He said I was so far down he thought he was going to have to call ski patrol.

Anyone got any stories about their sickest airs?

I took the 100 footer at whistler about 170 feet on my first try and landed at the very bottom of the landing.

Shit haha aparently this jump was a fucking 30 footer but I think I hit a 100ft at bachelor but im not exactly sure but it was big.

sking at brighton i got used to speed checking jumps everyday bcause the will go from bing 10 feet to 30 to 15.... so i was feeling confident going into the second table with lots of speed because the day becore i was always way close to casing it. its not that big but i over learded the landing by like 10 feet . in the air i said" o mother fucker....shit..." in a way that was to calm

when i was 12 i overshot the booter at the bottom of the bromley park by like 20 ft and rolled into the liftline of the quad off the landing. i was skiing back mounted k2 juvy's and i thought i needed to go really fast

we built a lil kicker at my home mountain because the jumps suck, the actual jump was small but you went like 20 or 30 ft. i overshot it my second time hitting it and couldn't ski for two weeks cuz i hit my ass so hard. kinda sad, actually

The jumps at my mountain are rarely over 30 feet. I had been hitting the 1st jump in my park all day(its about 25 feet), It was nearly nighttime, so the snow had gotten a bit faster. Anyway I come in with the intention to just throw a 3, I end up catching my edge on take off somehow, flying all the way to the flats at the bottom of the landing and landing on my back. I ended up cracking a rib. Couldn't really talk for about 10 minutes because I had the wind knocked out of me so badly haha

probably this, and no its not photo shopped. ended up being about 115 ft with a hole in my tongue

i know exactly what you mean

sometimes im about to fuck up in mid air and im just like "shit" but at about volume 2, its kinda funny

i had been hitting the bonk at the same mountain for weeks starting at the top. then one week i waxed my skis and forgot about it. it has a verysteep take off and landing. it is hard to tell how much speedyou actually need because one second you feel way to fast and then the jum steals most of your speed so i couldnt tell. i ended up flying over the landing and impacting on a slight uphill windmilling and crumpling. got a bloody mouth and lil cut up face. but its all right

thats so epic, i have nothing nearly as cool as you, maybe gnolling on some stuff and then hurting forever

Nice. I'm sure it hurt like a bitch but thank god for all that powder, haha. Looks like you're going straight into the trees. Such a great picture.

My worst overshoot was off the woopie jump under chair 4 in Vail. Sometimes a different hit gets cut out that goes to the skiers right for anyone who knows what I'm talking about. So this buddy of mine and I packed out that lip and were hitting it. There was a lot of fresh snow so you had to tuck from just under chair 4 cliffs to have enough speed to get any air at all. This was on the weekend and by the time we were done it was getting pretty much perfect. I came back with another friend during the week to film and tucked from the same spot just under the cliff. The track had gotten sun baked and I ended up going way faster than I did the previous weekend. There is a good steep landing hill and then there is kind of like a road. I cleared the road by about 20 feet, bounced and one hopped into a tree well. It scared the crap out of me, but I didn't get hurt. Could have been so bad. That's the worst feeling when you are just hanging up there watching your steep landing go bye bye.

friend of mine took a 55' to about 70' on his back. Was a shitty EC jump, so the landing was probably that of a 15', but they built a 55' where it was. Heres a vid. Kid got fucked up, but hes back in action.

in whistler this summer this kid hit the second jump of coc in the big jump line and probably over shot the 70' at least footer by like 50 feet and almost landed in the rail garden below. Shit was intense they had to airlift him off the glacier.

I have had some nasty overshoots in my day. I remember my first one, before I ever got a helmet. Was my first year of park and I had finally been hitting the "pro" line and actually landing them. So I was hitting them all and just feeling super stoked, I hit the last one without a speed check thinking I was the shit and suddenly I see the entire resort and highway off in disance below me. I think to myself "now would be a great time to own a helmet" and uttered a "ah fuck" before landing sideways and creating a bombhole, knocking me out cold for 10 seconds and my shit littered all over the hill.

Last season they built the biggest jumps the resort has ever had I believe. At the end of the season my ex girlfriends bro and I were like "lets hit the big line", which the last jumped was probably 90' to 100' feet. He went first and I followed, everything was going great as I went off the third of four jumps, I see him down by the big one waving me to keep going cause he fell on the third and didnt have speed to hit it. I knew it was a monster so I tucked thinking "I am totally gonna case this shit" but then I launch off and the landing instantly is behind me, I start flailing in what felt like 40ft above the ground and then left a bigass bodyprint in the ground. I broke my thumb, but was damn lucky to walk away from that one. Everyone on the chair was like "holy shit man are you ok? you should get checked out"

I never hit that jump again. I really don't know how I have never been tobogganed off the mountain yet.

wow. i did not pussy out. i figured out that it wasnt necessary to drop from fucking way up high so i didnt do it

Lets just say that if you were at MHSSC you probably saw me fall 20 feet out of the air onto my back after overshooting the motocross jump with the barrell at the top.

the worst part about overshooting is the few seconds in the air when you see the landing slip away and you're using the most profanity possible, as the ground get's closer and closer and you realize that you have zero control over your fate.
