so i want to build myself a little fall/winter rail setup. however, i dont have a pair of skis that i want to sacrifice doing rails/ fuckin around on dry land. so, is there any reason i shouldnt buy 20$ skis off craigslist and use them? are the 80's bindings just shit? are the 50 mm skis going make rails difficult? im assuming id be able to blowtorch the tails and bend them up. yes?

also, were moving to a house with a few acres. (were in oregon) if we were to get like a 6 inches to a foot of snow like last year, could i gather it up in a huge fuckin pile and have it stay frozen until early spring? im thinking like a 10x10x10 cube covered with a tarp. has anyone tried it?

Relax man, for someone who just joined you got a lot of hate, the thread creator was just asking a couple questions to be 100% sure on what he was thinking of doing. What is it with all the hate all of a sudden on this website, I know it's not tgr, but its almost there. Next time try helping some one out. If you piss enough people off or the wrong one you can get banned from the site. Just chill, ski season is almost here, and you can enjoy the reason any of us are on this site.
 
you might be able to find some cheaper skis at goodwill or another thrift store/ something similar. I got some old extremes for 5 bucks one time
 
Uncalled for with the anger. If your angry about your like, it's real immature to take it out on people on a website because there "aren't consequences". Now, garage sales are my favorite. You'd be surprised to see some half decent cheap skis.
