Craigeburn Area

I'm coming from the states of united to ski stuff in the craigeburn range and am wondering if I should even bother bringing a pair of park skis. Any resorts have any worth while parks? Or just stick to the pow and natural stuff?

I suppose it depends on how long you are here for. There is only one decent park in the Craigieburn Range (at Porters) which doesnt get going until July. Further south (a 90 minute drive from Christchurch) there is an OK park at Mt Hutt, along with a mini park made up mainly of easy/beginner rails. If you are mainly sticking to the Craigieburn Range then it isn't really worth bringing them over, unless you stay for most of the season, or head south.
