Sup M&A, I know this isn't really art, but I figured I would get best laptop related answers here.

So I dont know how I initially cracked my screen, but the crack started as a 1inch small crack at the bottom of my screen. I thought it was a hair at first so i brushed it away with a screen cloth and with the small amount of pressure the crack grew across the screen.

It has since (2 days) gotten worse and a second crack has started from the top.

I dont have any pictures, but here is a similar one found on google.

The lcd is not cracked, and the computer works fine. It is just the outside glass that is cracked.

I can't afford to pay apple 300+ dollars to fix this (what apple charges for glass replacement) I might be able to tackle the task of replacement myself. Has anyone done this before or know how to go about doing it? I found the glass for sale from 70-100$ around the internet.

or would this be under warrenty? guessing its not..

help me out m&a

I highly doubt its under any kind of warranty unfortunately, they do have a one year warranty with all their products but I don't think it covers cracks. Anyways the process is pretty simple but a little risky. You basically have to use some heat and get the adhesive off around the outside of your screen, than suction cups to carefully and slowly pull that layer of glass off.

what you're looking for/to replace is the unibody glass in the mbp, so just do a google search on replacing mbp unibody glass and youll be golden.
