been doing rails? I did the same thing after 2 days of rails. cannot warranty it. A good shop should be able to straighten the edge and put new base in replacing the warped part. cost me $40 to have mine fixed but they are holding together 1 month later.

try to break the ski if you want it to be replaced.

Ten 80, how lon gdoes that take, i have been sliding but not too many rails, it is unwarrantyable, i heard you can use expoxy do you think that would work, oy yah, Ten 80 can you still slide rails

I've probably skied mine 5 times (in the park) since the edge broke and they are not showing many signs of additional breakage. I did file down the edge where it broke so that It wouldn't catch and rip out. You have to completely take the corner off of the edge 1' above and below the break to be safe.

I probably slid rails 20 times with my new concepts before they broke. no more rails untill I can afford to finish the concepts off and get new skis (which will NEVER see rails ever).

lol, id just go be retarded in a glade and go really fast at a tree, then hop up in the air feet first and break em...then u could get new ones... actually i probabgly wouldnt, but id think about it..

friend: You went to the ski store? Whatd u get?

me: I got head baby.

friend-in awe-: FROM WHO!?!?!

me: the guy behind the counter, i think his name was matt. Ya well he seemed pretty cool, didn't do much talkin. Got right to business; helped me with what i needed. Damn was he a good one. He coulda sold me some 10 year old skis if he wanted.

J-Dubbs, rockin the head skis!

dude talk to dude_le_skibum or I can send u the thing he sent me to fix it...same thing happened to my concepts but I got another pair

Watch out for your cornhole bud

last year i was doing a loop 180 and dug my tail into the snow and ripped out about 6 inches of the edge...the warranty covered it and i got new skis. Go to the manufactures website and email them and ask if its covered..fixing it will only delay them breaking again for a week or 2. I would look into the warranty

Unity....... word up!!!

how many times should you sharpen your edges a year? I did a rail about 20 times on a bad snow day, and now the edges under the boot (where it is most important)are kind of rounded off and dull. I already sharpened them at the beginning fo the year, and am wondering if I will permanently hurt them by sharpening them too much

Sharpening too much? Dont know about that, Im no expert but competetive racers sharpen their edges like every time they race. Yeah fuck rails, I love sliding them, and I will slide more, but only really good ones like when I go to breck (rainbow rail!) I was told repeatedly that rails do nothing to your skis and when they dull you can easily fix it. So at camp I did rails every day for a week and now my edges look like shit. They still ski the same, theres really no change in performance but Im scared of that crack. I dont know if its worth it, if you have a shit pair of skis use those.

i talked to a person who rides for Dynastar and he said it is no way warrantalbe because it is beyond normale use.... Da fuck... they are made to slde rails, how is that beyond normal use

Chad, no skis other than the pow airs are made to slide rails. the concepts have standard size and construction edges, the same as the Big, 4x4, and other Dynastar skis. talk to a dynastar rep and if you're nice and polite he might give you a deal.

find a dynastar ad, (or whatever skis u have) that promotes sliding rails. because then its false advertising or something if they wont replace them after making them to do it.
