So I'm dating this girl for a year and a half, we obviously get along but by no means is it love. This girl, now on referred to by her name Val, had no ambitions, once even admitting she just wanted to "get by in life." After getting tired of that attitude we break up this past october. We continue to see each other almost every weekend when I'm off work. Continue everything we used to do just not calling her my girlfriend any more. Months go by no problem, until January rolls around. I meet up with her one night to give some belongings back and we have a long little talk.

Sparing you the details she tells me she has met some one else, but wants to move back to cali ASAP and doesn't think he'll be coming. Ok, whatever, live your life pretty much. We end this convo with her promising to say good bye before moving across the country.

If you stuck with me this long here comes the crazy-ness. This talk happened on a thursday, I'm home the next weekend when my friend comes up to me "Hey have you heard about Val?" Nope of course I didn't. Well it turns out that the person she met was a cadet at the USMA, and this cadet was a bit unhappy with the army. So he took out 2 junior loans equally 60,000$ and went AWOL with my ex. They have been gone since Jan 28th.

The law with AWOL soldiers is after 30 days they are considered deserters and punishments become a bit harsher. No one had heard anything from Val, she didn;t mention this journey to anyone. I was getting e-mails from her parents looking for information. Because of this no one was sure if she left willingly and this cadet had a history of some fucked up shit (slitting the throat of geese). Naturally EVERYONE was worried for this girl.

She called last night, I've been in Cancun on a beach just chilling, I'm coming back soon.

All her friends are excited for her to come back, I cant stand the thought of looking at her again.

am I wrong? Gimme yo thoughts!!!

I was over the emotional side of the relationship awhile ago, its kinda beat cause she was a good lay hence why I kept her around for months after we split.

As far as telling the govt. where they are, I don't really know... She said she was around cancun, I dunno if shes still with the dude or not.

oh and it would have never lasted with this girl, I told her I'm moving out west to real mountains and she said does that mean I have to live in snow?

i was in a similar relationship recently.. was going good, then we broke up, but continued hanging out. shit was terrible, i'm so happy i ended it.

oh and she was crazy too, but in a different way.

my advice: stop talking to her
 
well if she didnt wanna do anything with her life and you guys "broke up", then i say just leave it alone. dont talk to her anymore.
 
the not talking to thing would be ideal but its pretty much impossible without coming across as a little childish. We share the same group of friends and live in a small town, so to not talk to her I would litterally have to deny her existance. Since I'm not 5 and this would make things pretty awkward for our friends I need another plan.... Mine thus far is pretty much fuck it just deal
 
^ This.... I've been planning on moving out of NY so I can ski real mountains. Lately the though has been if I dont get out of this state soon I'm gonna end up growing old and dying here... CO here I come
 
a similar thing happened to me once, except that my ex gf embezzled 4 g's from the bank she worked at before moving half way across the country. next thing I know, the feds show up at my door, "why hello FBI - no I don't know anything about 4 grand missing from said bank. no, I haven't talked to her."

Once I got used to it yes I was glad she was gone, but the point of this post is more that she is coming back after severing all ties with her job, friends, and even family.

aaaaaand TheCelt16 hit the nail on the head with number one... I'm always having a good time, she was always looking for something better.

but ya sounds like kinda a fucked up situation. I would recommend going through with your move and leaving her in the past.

i'm still friends with one of my ex's just because she's in my group of friends.. i just dont talk to her much or care for what she does/says

I think you're a lying piece of shit. I understand why Jo called you a

slut all the time, because you are. I'm glad I never meant anything to

you. You were never good enough for me to begin with, hence why I was

never happy. What kinda genius can't get through RCC twice. You lead a

real goal oriented life. Weak minded and crazy. It feels good to know

how little respect you have for me. For awhile I was worried you were

hurt or in trouble, right now I wouldn't mind hearing you were found

dead. Thanks for humiliating me and my family, who also loved and

accepted you. I hope you get caught, which is merely inevitable. I hope

your new barb wire sportin homo of a boyfriend gets max penalty and he

finds out you were fucking me too this whole time. I hope you're brave

enough to even respond to me. I figure you're outta country so calling

is pointless but you may check your facebook. If you do read this and I

ever meant anything to you, have the guts to respond to me. Judging how

you've run away from everything in your miserable life, I'll probably

never hear from you again. Shame if thats the case.

oh and if

we're airing dirty laundry, I fucked three broads while we were

together. The best part will be you figuring them all out
