Could this snowboard trick be real?

Instinctively I wanna say it's fake, but I can't think how

pretty awesome, but the fact that the bindings change color in the air and his front foot straps itself in upon landing raises questions about its credibility...

? I'm not seeing this color change. I'm as skeptical as the next guy but I want real proof if I'm going to believe this is real or fake.

It's definitely possible I know there's one snowboarder that puts 1 foot in his binding and then twirls around. He's also done kick flips on it as well although never on a jump that big.

His front foot is strapped in, then unstrapped, and then strapped in. He hit the jump one footed, and then the rest of the work was on a computer. The youtube channel this was posted on is a guy who knows video effects. Its obvious.

definitely possible. ive seen people taking everything of their bindings apart from the base plate so they can stand on it and have some sort of control without having to be strapped in. there is an edit but cant find it right now. i think it has some of the capita team in it. +k if anyone can find it.

Thanks for the explanation. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was obvious though. It is some good video work.

Looking at his front foot and back hand, his body is positioned exactly as it would be for a one footer, like the first trick in this video.

One Footers with Scott Stevens from James Mustico on Vimeo.

so Im thinking if it is fake, thats what he really did over the jump, and then they just spun the board or whatever in editing. But either way, its either really sick riding or really sick editing

This looks shopped.

I can tell from some of the pixels and seeing quite a few shops in my time.

All this proves is that someone who uses youtube to premiere an amazing feat is a fucking moron, which makes anyone associate with the video a fucking moron.

Laggy and shitty video quality gives you no credibility. Let us leave this clip to die unceremoniously in a fire that is fulfilled by common sense and not by absurd speculation.

Yeah this was on my mind when thinking the jump kickflip trick could be real. Still an awesome shot though even if it is fake. Reminds me of how awesome real movies are with all the crazy special effects and what not that aren't real but awesome to think about.

its called grinding down the grooves on your baseplate so the board can swing around the binding but still be bolted down

Scotty Vine will do it someday I'm sure. As far as that video, it is definitely fake. One of the guys in the running for the CoC contest was boastin about making it on their facebook page.
