Could I please get a quick critique?

In my afterschool film class our main project was what they call a personal narrative, the assignment was to make a video showing an aspect of your life. It is due tomorrow and I would like to get a critique on it before i turn it in, especially the editing because thats the only thing i really have time to fix. +k for critiques, thanks.

Bump, I replaced the video with the final cut. I would really love to hear some thoughts on it, especially what you guys don't like.

Well, it's too late for it now but a faster shutter speed is going to be something to try in the future. The amount of motion blur you're getting now is very distracting.

Two things that I remember coming to mind when watching the video.

-Don't cut to black in the middle of it

-Cut out your narrators stutters

Motion blur has already been mentioned.

The narrator's inflection was terrible. It was so obvious that he was reading his lines, not speaking them, and in a video like this, where the meaning needs to be true, an obviously prewritten and read narration makes the words seem fake and shallow. Next time slow down, take breaths, give space between sentences. Don't rush! Its okay to read, but speak normally, don't mumble. Pretend you're not reading anything. IMO this would greatly improve the impact of the video.

Other than those things I enjoyed it. Pretty nice work.

Thanks guys. The blurring problem actually wasn't caused by a slow shutterspeed, i actually forgot to change the framerate to 60 when exporting from premiere. I just replaced the video with the better one on vimeo. As for the narration, I am a horrible narrator, but I will make sure that i give my self more time to fix that on the next video like this that I do.

if i were you i would fix the narration. could be the difference between an A or a B you never know. also if you re do that you could re render at the proper framerate for the final project. if the project isnt worth a large percentage of your grade it might not be worth the effort however. either way good luck :)
