Could a park skier win an Aerials medal?

Can someone who knows more about this than me help flesh this out?

Now that big air competitions are being won with double/triple/quadruple flipping four/five/six rotation *grabbed* tricks, couldn't someone like Birk Ruud or Alex Hall just practice for a month and clean house on an Aerials competition?

I'd like to understand why I might be wrong because if I'm not, it really seems like aerials are not just ugly but now obsolete when compared to a modern big air competition.

aerials dont consider off axis rotations.

i dont think those skiers would do as well in aerials as they do in big air after only 1 month of training.

If someone like ahall spent the next 4 years training aerials, he could probably make the team but he wouldn't beat the top dogs, spinning aerials off of a nearly vertical jump is much different than park skiing.

would it be easier for ahall to learn to jump aerials or for an aerials competitor to learn to do a switch triple 18? I know that I'm biased toward park skiing but it seems like the former would be more likely.

depends on the aerialist, some literally can't ski so they'd prob struggle, some are like Dylan Ferguson and can throw down hard in the park still.

I think moguls to slope/big air or vice versa is much more likely. You question is more like comparing diving to swimming.

I’m pretty sure the air awareness could allow a park skier to be a high level arial skier but I doubt it would be enough to podium. Traditional gymnasts or divers would probably do better
