i agree we just got some corrugated pipes 2 years ago and they are so fun. the large 2- 2 1/2 diameter ones are a little too big gap wise but still fun to hear that sound!
Surface swap the shit out of them. Just got to not push so hard on your lead foot. be a beginner on them and just like slide it to almost a hockey slide.
I've never caught an edge and eaten it. I have ejected a ski, but that's because my DINs suck major balls. Speed is your friend. It's easier than mailboxes.
Corri pipes are a staple of uk fridge skiing. Down corris are the best. Learnt. My first front 2 out on one. Up corris are the worst thing ever unless you are a snowboarder.
Pretty much do it like normal. Carrying a little more speed than you would for a regular rail and just be as flat as possible woth your skis on the tube with possibly a little weight shifted toward the uphill edges. Other than that just confidence that you'll slide and the right amount of speed and you cant go wrong.
Yeah I remember the first time I hit one I had no idea what to expect so I just went for it and hit it like I would a sausage tube and, well, I'm still here today, aren't I? No but from there I just adjusted a thing or two, then I learned to love em
