I dont get how to cork

i can do a small 360 cork on the ground but once i get on a tramp.....bad shit happens

so any tips?

for me almost taking a flip stance helps. as you approach the lip you need to try and throw all your weight into one shoulder instead of both for a front flip. after you start flipping let your legs follow with the way you want to spin. this helps for me but its differnt for others but its most likely a trial and error kind of thing.

forget cork 3's for now.learn cork 5/7's first. Because of the nature of the cork, a 3 is harder to uncork and land on your feet. cork 5 is the easiest.

learn cork 5 or 7 first

and ask turpin

i try to lean back and spin and throw my arm across my body

wrong cork fives are almost just as hard as cork threes. go with cork sev first because when you set right you come out of your cork naturally

corks are not forward... your describing a misty or bio

but yeah to the thread creator definitely try cork 7s first they are the easiest... cork 3s are way harder to get un corked

yea thats what i was thinking too.

cork 3's on a tramp aren't too easy for me. and for cork fives you still have to come out what feels to me like pretty early. where cork sevens are the full more natural motion.

so i guess the smaller the spin the harder to cork fluidly.. maybe?

if you want to learn cork 1's ask leigh. :D

You've gotta set your rotation diagonally and almost throw your skis upwards of your body. I learned big cork 3s by taking off in lazy boy and dragging my hand on the jump. It might seem harder but it sort of forces your spin to go corked

everyone always says you 'uncork naturally', but how is this the case. I have been trying to cork 5 for a while on the tramp. I can spin horizontally or near horizontal just like anyone else here. however i only ever land on my front for 5 or back for 7. what's all this about uncorking naturally!?

You only naturally come out of a cork on a cork seven is what everyone above is saying not cork 5 and 3. those are much harder to come out of your cork.

Dont worry about going 'cork' try and focus on sticking an off-axis spin... my tip would be to try and pretend you are rolling over a picnic table.. like drop your back and roll... eventually it becomes natural

Yeah, I've never thought of it like that, but that helps a lot for cork 3s. Grabbing truckdriver always helps too.

dip your head downwards towards the shoulder you wanna spin...it will force your body into the cork. spot your landing and your body will follow your head back to right side up
