Cork 3's

Nope can't cork 5, but I'm trying really hard to learn corks this season. I tried last year on small kickers but that didn't work out.

cork 3s are one of the hardest tricks in all of skiing. you have to have a massive amount of air, be able to spin extremely slow, and have mad balls to even try it. i suggest starting out with cork 7s, get used to the spin, then work your way down to 5's (taking off or landing switch makes them tougher than 7s), then go for the 3

trust me on this- i learned the hard way. tried a cork 3 as my first ever cork attempt on a 15 footer, ate complete shit. learn 7s on, at the very least, a 20 footer

Everytime I try a three I cork it and Die, I have already dislocated my shoulder, tore my other shoulders rotater cuff, pulled neck muscles biceps, concussion, bruises, and really bad skiers thumb. but I am not going to stop till I get it.

Haha, thats what i did, i was just thinking hmmm 360=easier than 7 so cork3 must be easier than cork7............man i used to be dumb.

I'm learning Cork 3's too. I've been practicing hand drag 3's on some massive wind drifts. I've gotten those down so now I just don't drag my hands and there you go. Soooo much harder than you'd think.

Good luck holmes

i was just working on them this weekend on a 25-30 footer just carve hard and stay low gravity kind of does the rest. just be super patient in the air when you set your spin and you'll start to feel that "dip"

probably just leaning way back when you spin, try staying forward and really focus on the 4 point landing
to the thread creator, try cork 5s first, way way easier to bring it back around

I learned them off cat tracks. Carve really hard, and try to grab truck driver and it's hard not to cork 3.

straight up best way to learn to cork 3 is to to find a small lil jump, go up and hand drag off of it may sound weird, but it sends u into an automatic cork so you just have to deal with the outcome, you dont have to worry about setting it. and by hand drag i mean sit down basically on the backs of your skis, carve a bit of the lip with ur inside hand draggen and just try and lean a three.
it takes a few tries but if ur on a small jump worst thatll happen is ull land on ur side.
give er! and good luck

definitely start learning corks with cork7's. then start learning cork 5's, then cork 3's. i still dont know how to cork 3. i dont even know how to cork 5. i just suck at life.

im sure you understand the movement of throwing one, so my advice is to pop really hard, i was landing on my side till i popped the shit out of it

I can only do like somewhat off axis 3's, although sometimes its hard to tell exactly how corked your getting, but I do critical grabs, and just kind of lay it back from 90 to 180, and you gotta be pretty patient with the rotation or you'll 450 every time, its kind of a weird trick, but its a good way to learn 5's if you can't because 5 is your out if you go too big

i just learned cork 3's this past weekend up in sugar bush, they had about a 55-60 foot jump from take off to sweet spot and i gradually just started dropping my shoulder. i spotted underneath my left shoulder (i spin left) and once the shoulder is dropped it will automatically start throwing your feet of axis above your head once you spot your landing your legs will almost fall to the side of you back underneath you, thats the hardest part and there will be numerous spills but its such a sick trick to have in your bag. once the landing is spotted make sure your legs are coming around. the trick cant be hucked, its a smooth looking trick for a reason, it takes time to bring it around.

i havent learned cork 5s or 7s yet but im glad i got the 3 down first. i heard it was the hardest of the bunch...
