I was thinking Corey Vanular is coming up so fast and i dont even think hes in his prime yet? i give it 2 more years untill hes unstopable

it depends what you call prime....if by that you mean competitions/video segments, or if you mean his skiing. i think hell stay where he is in comps because hes solid and young and will remain solid but theres so many rising people. as for his skiing, it will only improve and improve

yeah hes gona throw them in comps i heard^ hes mad comfertabal with them, i say him and tanner rainville will progress the sport the most dono why

corey is honestly to my thoughts, possibly THE best skiier around or soon will be... first person to do the first real rail transfer, switch shit in BC, pretzels on urban rails like nothing and he doesnt talk shit, he lets his skiing do the talking.

kidz got skills, ofosho. but vid segments are way different than comps. when was the last time that pep, or boronowski did good in comps. they have sick segments but never really are seen in the competition seen. and also, a vid segment its one trick on film. you could fall every other jump but if you get 45 sick ass shots, you have a sick ass part (i just picked a number 45 may not be a legit number idk). A comp run you have to link sick ass tricks together.

Agreed that Corey Vanular is amazing. His style in Shanghai is unbelievable.

On a side note, had anyone seen Volume 12? He looks like such a douchebage when he's talking. No offense to his person or his skills, but he's odd.

He will be the best all around if he:

- is one of the best comp. skiers all around (Tanner Hall)

- can shred BC (Mark Abma)

- can tear up BC jumps (Pep Fujas)

For being progressive and having urban rails down along with just park riding in general, he has that no doubt. I think he's just a long ways away from being called the THE best skier. Keep tearing shit up Vanular.

Yeah is skiing is so progressive. Hes put together good video segments, slays comps, urban and rails, and on top of it all is a pretty sick ass halfpipe skier.

then who is the best skiier? i dont know many skiiers ripping bc while doing the techest shit on urban and vanular can rip bc jumps at least.

i'd say he's already pretty insane at ripping bc jumps. and as far as comps go, he's pretty high up there. i'd say this season is when he'll really start destroying in comps.

Corey is really the skier who stands out the most so far this year. No less than two trailers he has shots that make you rewind and replay. The only groundbreaking shot in the "Show and Prove" trailer was his rail transfer and by far the most impressive shot in the "Long Story Short" trailer was his rail shot: rodeo450 on 270 out. I know I'm judging these movies based on the trailers only but it really speaks to the guys skills that he has the most memorable and progressive moves in not one but two different movies. The rail shot reminded me of the shot of Jon Mcmurray's lincoln off the roller coaster a couple years back because it was the one shot that everyone is going to beg, borrow, or steal. (Please note that I am in no way endorsing Jon Mcmurray or any of the LCP crew, they are a disgrace to Canada. See the Hit List Remix for evidence of this.)

End result: Big up Corey Vanular. I'll be watching to see what he can do as I'm sure most of us on NS will be.

give it time, give it time. corey kills it now. the future will be even more amazing.

having seen corey at camp this year, he is defenitely not in his prime yet, but hes still sick as hell. Same goes for Carlson. BUt I do think that Schiller is in his prime right now

Vanular definitely has much more in store for his future. I can't wait to see the shit he's going to be stomping two years from now.

yeah schiller is but if he keeps on breaking his knees to tweek his steeztastic mutes so much, he will be done in no time

he will start winning every comp around, i think he will come out on top 80% of the time

dude its easy to add in wester when you watch his tbc seg, plus his joi shit? hes fuckin ill. double cork 12? d-spin to back? his shit is off the chain.

im surpirsed with all these ppl talking about corey vanular that no one mentioned his 630 on to a flat down box in last years us open slopestyle that shit was so tight i dont even think anyone threw a 450 in that comp

pep and boronowski are different though, they don't really do comps atall, they work on sick ass vid segments more than practisng for comps.

he seems kinda odd (watch the laax-bonus in sh6)

but his skiing is the best at the moment... i think the future´s about sammy corey tj and jacob..

by the way.. does anyone know if jacob got a segment this year..?
