i landed on a rock off a cliff and now i have a small gash in my base. can i just p tex it or should i take it to a shop

You'll probably be fine doing it yourself. Just make sure to leave your skis somewhere warm and dry for a while before you do it to dry it out as much as possible. Also be sure to keep you eye on it after you make the repair as it is a lot more likely to fall out if you do it yourself.
