i got my new fujis mounted and i told them true center and i picked um up ad when i got home there core center should i go and remount them or is core center fine for 95% park?

You're usually fine with 2-3 mountings, after that i think it starts hurting the ski. If its that big of a deal to you then I would get them remounted.

well i have never skiied true or core center i hade some dynastar phil dions and they were mounted way back so i guess core center is good for me

they did the same to mine but i asked for core center and they gave me true and if i get them back to core its the 3rd time thier mounted

u gave them ure money to do the job u asked them to do, they accepted the callenge by accepting ure money, they fucked up, (this was talked about on a tgr thread recently i stole this reply from there)

hey nick i bet ski market will remount for free thats what fatties said theyd do if i didnt like how they skied true center

o shit n/m i got core and true mixed up their. ask long as core isnt like 3 cm back from centre i think youd be fine

Dont remount, core is just fine for 95% park, thats what I do and hopefully mine come backa at core.

if you really do 95% park I would consider asking them for new skis or asking for a remount, since those bastards screwed up =), I always get my skis within at least 3,4 cm from True center, it just really makes a difference in terms of balance and stability for me when I go for larger spins ( 7 and up), and when you land switch you feel more balanced. but ya that's just my opinion, maybe it's not like that for everyone

at the risk of sounding like a noob... whats the difference between core and true center? Shouldnt the core be in the center of the ski? When ever I get skis mounted I just ask for them to be center mounted... I have never specified true or core.

alright, i always get confused with this. what is the diffence (not literally) between all the different mounts? how do they help? o know obviously the more centered is better for park and the far back isn't so much but what's with the center and core and whatnot?

Center= exact center of the ski by literaly measuring it (also called true center)

Core= the exact center of the dimensions of the ski (say a ski with 114-84-114 dimensions, the center would also be core center cuz the dimensions are the same, something thats 114-84-108, the core center would be a little back from true center.)

i have some fujatives at core center and they are good for everything.

its cool, the further back the more all mountain material it is really.. some people (take dumonts pro ski for example) will actualy mount the ski infront to true center for a purely based park ski.

yeah, i get how the farther back they are the more all mountain they are but what's the benefit between true and core?

when you are standing on core center, you are on the center of the arc that the ski makes when it carves

if you picture that arc, you are on the flatest part of it where as true center will put you ahead of the arc and your turn, which makes it "worse" for regular skiing
