Cords needed to connect audio from macbook to standard amp

Okay basically the title says it all. I have a axiom 49 midi and a macbook pro, and basically i want to go jam at my friends house who has his drumset and amps and shit that he just cant bring to my house. I dont want to have to take my speakers and shit with cause its a hassle.....so basically what cord do i need to connect the audio output from the comp to the amp? thanks bros

You could run a 1/8" to 1/4" cable, but you would technically be sending a digital signal through two stages of amplification. It might sound "stale," but it should work.

thanks. Could you LINK me to what your talking about? Does that just mean the one side will have a 1/8" plug and the other a 1/4" .... sorry im a fucking re

cause i was also thinking that i could run an audio cord that connects to the amp with, and im gonna sound like a dumbass, the tv type audio plugs at the end...cause i know my small guitar amp at home has shit like that (a red and white one)...does anyone know anything more?
