op, you're a dbag dude. Everyone appreciates when cops bust real criminals, and fight violent crime. Otherwise cops are pigs, fuck them.
 
you're right man, cops aren't the devil, they actually are pretty cool. because drinking and driving = cool. like joe camel coooool.

there is one problem with cops, they are always there when you get in trouble, speed, or do something wrong, but the second you actually need them, like all you shit gets stolen, they don't do shit about it nor do they care. as soon as they start solving crimes, getting people's stuff back, and stop being gay butt fuckers, then i might agree with you timmi.

but i agree to a cartain extent, i just think they take some laws too seriously, like drinking ages and shit. if everyone is in a house and safe just having a good time why should they get hassled so much.

Society's need for police officers reflects a short coming in human nature. We don't like them because they show us what we don't like about ourselves. Stop breakin the law asshole. And if you're not breaking the law, then you're not going to have a problem, and if you don't like the laws you have to follow, then move somewhere else. If you're not 18 yet then just shut the fuck up about it because nothing bad can happen to you anyway. OMG did you see that?! he was such a dick to me! OMG I'm so offended. Don't bitch if you live in Vermont and your country club security took your pipe and told your mom. This thread is so GAY. People in this world have real problems, and this is NOT one of them.
 
Cops arent bad people, dont get mad at them. Its the United States legal system thats fucked, not the cops.
 
sorry, but i have never had a "good" experience with police. and they really did overreact. but its there job... so i dont know where i stand.
 
Most of the people who have had bad experiences with police are kids who disagree with the law, therfore they break it. And they can't move because they are obviously too young and not fully liberated.
 
Cops are human beings. Imagine being called to the scene where you find 3 kids, mutilated: It affects people. And you're talking about them being dicks? Hah. Say you pull somebody over, and just last week, your friend pulled someone over and got shot, TELL me that wouldn't affect the way you handle the situation? People complain "blah blah they overreacted" but in reality they can't afford to be careless or more lax on some things because they could underestimate a simple scenario and it could cost them their lives. I do agree that there are some cops that do simply abuse their power but I don't care what fucking profession you're in, doctor, cop, mcdonalds burger-flipper, you get some bad eggs.

anyone who said they "werent there when they needed them" - cops drive places. they drive on highways. therefore they see people driving too fast, and pull them over. they do not hide out in your trashcan waiting for someone to do something bad. that would be creepy.

anyone who said they overreact and take some laws to seriously- they dont make the laws. its their job to enforce them, not decide what laws they like and dont like. that would get them fired.

wrong. It is a cops job to make judgement calls on which laws to enforce based on priority. And how to best use thier time to serve and protect. But most are dumb and lazy and would rather make $300 for the state in 20 minutes.
 
ok maybe i was a bit off on that one, but the point is that it is their job to make those decisions on what laws are important, not yours.

I just have a bias because I've only had dick ones. They seemed to delight in me getting fucked over, so sorry. But I'm pretty sure in all my previous, "I hate cops" posts I've acknowledged this.
 
me and my friend were doing 75 on a 50 down the highway, a cop came the other way, flashes his lights, motions for us to slow down, then drove off. he was soo chill
 
you can't make a generalization either way in this debate...it depends on the person. not all cops are power tripping assholes, and not all are the helpful protect the citizen type people. i haven't had many experiences with cops, but i've encountered a few different types. i've been treated like i was selling heroin and meth while i was just hitting a rail, and i've been treated quite nicely when i was speeding quite profusely...it just depends on the person, cause some people are just fucked up and ruin the reputation for everyone.
 
without them our lives would be hell, i agree with what they do, but they do also go over the top on occasion, but wouldnt you if you got pissed off with kids abusing you. so in general the police are pitty chill, apart from the one guy that arrested those kids for skating on go skatboarding day, he was crazy.. but i get what your saying and completely agree
 
my experience with the cops: they gave me speeding tickets, they stopped urban rail sessions, and they broke up parties, and they drive around making me worried about doing illegal things. Yea they suck! haha
 
I personaly dont like the cops in my town, this is because i live in fairfield county, ct, which is a very wealthy area, so these cops deal with nothing crazy, like murders, and shit like that, so they really dont deal with crazy shit at all, once they pull you over thell search your car, even tho they arent allowed to, thats what makes me mad about them, they are the police and can basically do whatever the fuck they want, again, these are only the cops in my town, so im not nagging on all of them

i read this a while ago, but never posted. you are really right timmi, i agree with you 100% people need to quit being so gay about cops. they are out to help you, not hurt you. most of the time people fuck up and blame the police because they cant come to grips with the fact they did something wrong...
 
word. I totally respect state troopers because theyre all business. Local cops are hard to respect though. they have nothing to do so they turn tiny things into huge infractions of the law. I got pulled over for doin 47 in a 45. the cops comes up to the window and starts harassing me asking where the fire is and where's my pregnant wife whos drasticly giving birth in the car. it was total bs. so I gave him my license and registration. then all of a sudden two more cop cars pulled up. I was like.....wtf? so they got outta the car and started looking around my car with flashlights and yelling at me to open the windows. the other cop came back and said my record was clean. I said......I know. so he asked me what I was doing in the neighborhood I just left. I said I was at my friend nick's house. so looks me in the eyes and said," well, we have multiple reports that your friend nick is a convicted drug dealer. have you been buying drugs?" How is an officer of the law gonna bs me to my face?( my friend nick is 16 and hes a parapalegic. ) yeah, he sounds like a drug dealer to me. I told the cop, " look, my record is clean, you dont have anything to hold me here for. if you want, you can give me a ticket for 2 over. while you do that, im gonna call my uncle whos a judge in clinton county and ask him if all this was necessary for 2 over. what was your name and badge number again?" then the cop just said have a nice night. he and his fellow officers got into their cars and drove away. it was bullshit.
 
i think cops are alright.. but they can be really agressive for no reason.. at a peaceful protest for example.. in a park.. i watched like 5 cops on horses beat the shit out of this small lady for going in the street i guess and trying to get people to chant.. also.. one time i had a swisher and i was taking the tobacco out of it and a cop came up and saidi know what your doing with that, and then bugged me for a long ass time and was really rude to me and called a female cop to try and get me to let her search me.. it was really fucked up.. eventually i justleft.. luckily.. i know my rights.
 
im not a "punk" or a "thug" and i strongly dislike the police. thier job is to protect and serve, not sit and wait, or creep up on someone. i was once told by an officer when i was 13 years old that he was going to slap my ass allover the parking lot because i was let my friend ride my moped with no helmet. i guess i was harming other people ? another time i was walking down the sidewalk and a cop pulled up had me empty my pockets which contained one beer. he opened it poored it out and had me throw it out. as i was walking over to the trash can he came back and wrote me a ticket for open container. i suppose walking down the street with a closed can of beer was harming other people ?
 
You are a moron. Cop's CAN have you empty your pockets IF there is reasonable suspiscion, and having a screenname like "Troublemaker" that doesn't suprise me for some reason. And if it all went down like you said, you should take some law classes because without reasonable suspiscion you were doing something wrong, you would have walked away not having to pay for anything.
 
"troublemaker" are the skis i own not the way i present myself, and it did all go down the way i described. the problem here is that every citizen of this country should not have to pass a bar exam so they can defend themselves when confronted by a police officer
