Cops and urban

tonight me and my friends set up this pretty good hit, we had 2 cops come and they both were pretty cool and didnt make us leave. live in iowa i guessing its just bc they have no clue what we are doing. anyone else have good luck with the cops

Something like this?

Cops are usually awesome about. The only time I've had problems is with security guards who are power tripping. Twice I've had cops slowly drive by while we were taking hits and just watch for a couple a drive off.

We had a local Sheriff drive by our urban setup last week and he just looked and didn't really care. We also had an elderly couple invite us in for hot chocolate and banana bread because they thought we were doing service by shoveling sidewalks at the local church where the rail was at since we were using the plow on a 4 wheeler to get snow piled up for the takeoff

Most people are really obviously to what's happening. The other day, an older couple thanked us for shoveling the steps.

i'm yet to do any urban but while rollerblading i've had cops roll up, ask us what we're doing, watch and cheer us on haha

last week we were bungeeing through the street to hit this rail and the cop came and just made sure the traffic didnt get in our way. then he gave us a couple more ideas for urban spots.

cops leave us alone 95 % of the time. all the other times. are from complaints of near by businesses or houses from noise pretty much. then they say that what we are doing is cool and better than doing drugs and stuff. and we have a good laugh.

I had 3 cruisers roll up at 2am on us when we were seshing a rail at an old school that got shut down. I guess our generator was really loud and houses close to the school could hear us all night. they made us leave but luckily it was the end of the session, I just couldn't stomp a kfed and was absolutely dying haha

Haha I like to use the line "do you want us to shovel the snow back on the steps?" When the security guard feels he needs to remind us to take down the lip.

Its there! Just gotta keep an eye out whenever you drive around town. Take the backroads to places just to try and find some rails to hit!

Pretty much this. If you have a school, which you should, there will be urban. If you live in the middle of nowhere, then usually there's some cool hills out there

officer asshole.

if they built a smaller jump they might have got a couple hits in before he showed up, but damn that sucks.

what town was that in?

those kids shouldn't have let that a hole of a cop treat them like that and be put in the back of the car.

Haha yeah those fuckers got played! The entire time I was just thinking "If you're not giving me a ticket or pressing charges I'm leaving"

First time I ever rode late at night hitting some jibs and features, I would freak out when the cops drove by, but they're chill with stuff it seems like.

Now PARK guys on the other hand, holy shit. My sig is related to this whole mater:

Lol, not my video but seriously funny shit.

Maybe they live somewhere where there isn't any snow? Like I live in San Diego so if I wanted to do urban, I guessssss I could buy a shaved ice machine and wait for it to get really cold at 4am when it might dip to 45 degrees

me and 7springsprod live in the same area and finding a rail at all is challenging, let alone one worth setting up for and sessioning. there's nothing but worthless 4 stair rails and impossible triple sets

their's a cop in my town who looks just like pauly d who is chill like that. but most of the time it's the university cops who bust me and my homies

They usually just drive past slow or come and talk, It's mostly Shop owners and Security guards that get pissed. Just come back 30 mins later after you get kicked out.

for the most part it seems they don't care unless you're jumping/filming from roofs. or you got a cop thats a dick

I my town there's certain spots where cops will kick you out and other spots where they won't. Cops are still generally chill about urban though.

I got shut down by the cops earlier today. The guy who came didn't really care but we had to leave since one of the people that lived nearby had complained. It sucked since we never even got to hit the feature...

first time i ever tried urban i was freaked cuz it was in the center of town in the day haha and probably a half mile from the police station on the main road but we had like three cops drive by and nothing happened, pretty chill

Yes, but the person said he had lack of urban not snow. Besides I've seen plenty of summer set ups... You'd think they could figure something out

usually speed is an issue in skate parks. I lived right near one for a year and a half and it was still really fun but they are designed to be going faster.

I'm planning on trying to set up something next snowstorm on a halfpipe a few towns over. Its got 7 foot walls and is a good 50 feet long. might be able to hit both sides if speed is right/the tow in looks good.

Stept productions doesn't really have as much luck as the rest of you haha.

My friend who goes to CU Boulder says that Chowens has like 7 trespassing violations for hitting rails
