click on park n' pipe update, then at the top click park and pipe flow. there's a little map of copper's park layout, soon they'll have some videos, and you have watcht these little snowboard guys go down the park, it's funny.

I dont know about putting panles on the 100 ft rail, I kind of like it more with out! It would maybee look better with panles though.

 
now on copper's freeride site they have videos for a lot of the hits, they're pretty cool. they're under park DL in the flow section.

i was there today, and the park was pretty nice, kinda hard to get speed to clear the hits, but it was still fun. everything that's on that park flow map thing on the website is prety much everything that's up. the pipe was cut, and it was really nice.

oh yah. i saw paul cotter grease the whole rollar coaster-S rail. it was sick

hey kids, copper's sunsation is april 11-13. there's an big air comp open to all college kids with ids. not sure on the entry fee but it's not too bad. there'll be tons of free stuff given away. come check it out. mxpx is playing the day of the comp (april 12). and for you guys, the annual bikini contest is that weekend, also. for more info, check www.coppercolorado.com.

hahaahah, ive let this thread go too long if this place is where im gonna be skiing next year. im pretty stoked actually... except for the fact that im going to have to get used to the feeling of driving hour and a half to ski.

you guys have no idea, i was going to CSU 3 days a week and skiing in steamboat the other 4, 2 years ago for the entire season...that's 3 1/2 hours each way and it is not fun

i think copper has some copper cruisers or whatever, they leave denver and head up to copper on the weekends i think.

You future CU kids may want to get involved with the ski and snowboard club. They help run the ski bus, which I don't think runs to Copper. They do run some other trips that are amazing. I just got back from spring break in Whistler, for $755. If you have any questions about the ski club, let me know.

It's pretty easy to find people to carpool with, regardless where you are going. People in the dorms who don't have cars are always looking for rides and will happily pay for gas, and others with cars who get tired of driving solo.

 
hehe, that'll be me. the one in the dorm with a car. i know about ssc's trips. they sound sweet.

anyway, back to the thread topic: did anyone hit up copper bowl thursday?? unfuckingbelievable. the cat was running and i caught the second ride up. the hike to the little hut on top of tucker is was bitch, but the skiing was well worth it. the pow was untouched. there was at least two and a half feet in the trees at the bottom of tucker. wow.

i was there today (sunday) and it was so nice. they reported only 4 inches, but there was way more than that. it was knee deep or more in reso and spaulding, it was great.

the park is sweet. the right side is the biggest, and it's really nice. they've got some really nice rails set up. and the step up is pretty big, but i've never seen anyone hit it, so i don't really know. i'll be there on sunday.

step-up looks nice, but as with everything in that park you have to haul ass going into it. it's kind of in a bad spot though cause people stand right in the middle of it when they're waiting to hit the quarter pipe.

Anyways, i'm bored and avoiding homework so here's my copper report. I went up on Sat. April 12. It was icy till 10:30 - 11:00. then it got softer but since the park is flat it was a bitch to get speed. first jump and second on far right were good. though most of the time i'd stop after the first and then hit the step up. it was my first day at copper this year and the step up needed to be tamed. i've heard lots of people say that no one hits it. well, i got it perfect the first 3 times landing on the downside w/ no problem. on my fourth time though i had a little too much speed. i completely overshot the landing and crashed into the flats. nothing serious just a bunch of bruises and a few cuts. the rest of the day was good. tuffelmire was around and MXPX played which was sweet. however the mosh pit sucked because it was on snow, enuff said
