Anyone know when COP is planning on opening? Have they even started making snow? I'm in Lacombe so I can't exactly drive over

Yeah, they were super early last year, some kid told me they were 3rd in North America but I doubt thats true

They opened thanksgiving weekend last year. they where second in north america right after loveland.

A buddy of mine is on the trail crew there so here's an update.

1) They started snowmaking this week to get the system running but its supposed to warm up next week so it'll all melt. The weather has been stupid and the humidity is just too high. Pray for dry and cold (nest snowmaking conditions)

2) The reason they opened last year so early was because we had a huge dump at the beginning of Oct and yes they were actually 2nd in North America.

3) COP should open around the middle of november if the weather isn't a dick. They can open the main hill in 5 days of -15. Park should follow within a month after at most.

hope this suffices.

Theres a pretty long down box, a short up box, a short fat flat box, a mini spine thing and a halfpipe for the snowboarders.

Think I'm gonna go for a little shred there today, I'll be wearing a brown vest, green sweater and black tight pants haha.

The park will not be open until they get enough snow on it. The guns are acting up and causing alot of problems over there but they may be able to start pushing piles next week.

Not even jibs? I don't need need jumps, it would be nice but I just wanna hit some lines without having to hike. Bummer yo. And I have no money to get out to the mountains :(

Has it changed since you saw me there? I wouldn't really consider that "hitting 3 features without hiking" cause once you're done you gotta hike back up 300m or something again. I'm sure they could put in 4 or 5 small-esk jib features near the top like you said.

The East and West park should be open within the next week if it gets cold enough for 2 more days of snow making. They need some really dry snow but fingers crossed. The pipe needs to be cut and will open shortly afterward.
