I feel like most cops are assholes actually. The amount of abuse and plain disregard for citizens rights that has been exposed in the past few years because of the internet is insane. I think its hard for a lot of to see this too being as most of us are middle-class/rich white kids.

I mean the cop was definitely being an ass, but this guy is far from the patron saint of driving excellence.
 
but at the end of the day, Western society is far far far better off with the cops we have then we'd be without any cops.
 
If the driver filming was going the speed limit, than it was a dick move on the cop's part. It's common sense and driving law that the left lane is for passing vehicles only. Not creating a roadblock and slowing people behind you. Brake checking is also very dangerous to do, especially on the highway. Take officer dickhole's license plate down and get him suspended or fired.
 
I feel lie a lot of the videos of cops "abusing their powers" on the internet are taken completely out of context though. Most of them start already mid-action and you have no idea what happened leading up to it.
 
Its been reported in some news stations apparently in the areas recently. He passed in the right lane, not the shoulder, never went over the speed limit when he passed, and the cop break checking caused an accident - The cop didn't pull over and kept driving, and wasn't ticketed for leaving the sign of an accident.
 
I agree with this to an extent. I'm sure there are great cops out there, In my almost 24 years of living though, Id say out of the limited number of times Ive been in contact with cops via college, tickets, people hitting my car, car problems....etc only one was remotely close to being a nice person, the rest were pretty bad people.
 
i dont think you have seen the right videos then. IME those videos are usually like 7-10 minutes of talking and then a ridiculous beatdown, usually proving to be excessive and unnecessary
 
Maybe I haven't seen the ones you have, was just speaking on behalf of the ones i've seen. I'll admit I have seen ones where the obviously abuse power, but for the most part a lot of them are completely lacking context.

And it took me forever to figure out what IME means. FUCK
 
what a fuckhead. I would get a kick out of calling the cops on the cops. I would tell them there is a police vehicle driving erratically and the officer seems to be intoxicated. that'd get him in some hot water for sure.
