Coordinated and Colaborated Mountain Updates Thread.

haha u should see the jumps at castle's air site....the jumps were sweet this year but the landing...holly shit....there were so many bomb holes and the landing was so soft and steep so if u went huge then the chances of landing was very low

Update: Fernie's Park is pretty sweet when it comes to the jumps that is. Very smooth, nobody there. The rails are shit though.

they are built terribly, the landings are super flat, speed is terrible, u have to either speed check or straight line depending which jump it is, and if ur going 0.0005 km/h too fast u will over shot by 20 feet and land super flat

its the biggest waste of time hill, drive the extra 45 mins to go to louise where the jumps and park is actually built well

Update.

sunshine has like no new snow recently but the park is awsome. the rails are basically unchaged from the beggining of the yeat exept the first c box is really angled now and is kinda useless because it is short and hard to trick on.

the top flarbar rail is sick as usual and then theres the semi downhill rail after it thats ok. the whole rail pad beside the jump is identical and they made the upbox landing a little closer i think cause its easier not to case.

i didnt hit it but apparantly the big jump is nice and still good. The hip is really fun but solid unless you go more than 1/2 way. that snow nipple was closed today but is at least twice as big as it was 2 weeks ago . the wallride and the bottom talbe is good but the stepup is still to big for the speed that you need for the table

new stuff!!!(keeping in mind i missed last weekend for a comp)

vertical log- GAYYYY. they need to build a like quarterpipe into it, the only way i could figure out was ride up it stiaght before goign sideways, its like hitting a wall.

s coaster- this rail is really fun and is sure to kick your ass a couple times. be prepared to hike to get it :)

battleship- its still being set up but its that big one from along time agom, it looks sick.

so thats bascailly it for sunshnes park exept the uprail is like the best rail in the park right now. im so glad there fianlly putting in there old big rails again. now we jsut need the coaster again. the end

holy fuck. shack booter (first jump in high level) is now bigger than louise's "showtime"

the jump is enormous. the jump behind that is even bigger, showtime is 65 to knoll, so your going 75 to hit the sweet spot.

Shack is absolutley perfect right now, whis park is going off. come to whis. or black, if you wanna crush yourself on rediculously unessisarly large and high boxes / jibs.

actually Chad it blows, (like you), the jumps are covered in half a foot of fresh and all the rails are slanted and sticky, also if you haven't noticed yet there is no pipe..

your standers match those of maybe saskatchewan

k so umm this just in: whistler park = best rail set ups ive ever seen

backcomb park: best everyfuckingthing ive ever seen or skied

all in all its seriosuly insane. its like cop times 6

jw, anyone going to Nakiska tomorrow? I'm being forced to go. I'll be in the park, purple jacket grey pants, meet ya there!

shit is whack. tables have too much kick. landings are too short and not steep enough. aint the same as it was lame-o. but top secret info they are putting up a 38 foot roller coaster box in about a week. its goin to be sick as hell. worth the trip just for the that ooooooo-E. tell your friendshahahah 1 2 3 4

but nakiska doesnt know how to make rails. their rainbows are almost impossible because they start off at like an 85 degree angle so you have to hop hardcore to just get on

Nakiska was actually alright today the snow was not too hard packed. The trip itself sucked, I went with the dumbest girls, all the wanted to do is sit on their asses and oggle at the cute guys. The one rainbow rail that you can see from the chairlift, wtf its like a circle cut in half, you just bounce right off it.

andymack, yeh the landings are too short (especially for the 40 footer), but it might just be me having speed problems. ooo 38ft roller coaster box? is it anything like Louise's 50ft roller coaster box? its none too rolly.

i tried that rainbow at jump speed and when tried jumping sideways hit my skis and came about an inch from sacking myself (the one you can see from the chair. the only good things in the big park rail wise are the flat down box with the like 2 foot gap to it (only prob is that the jump is higher than the box) and the up rail (takes effort to get on but is easy to spin off)

louise was money all weekend, the snow was awesome for the big mountain

comp, the light sucked, but it was still amazing. the park was pretty

good too, rails were dope, but i had my mountain skis so wasnt really

goin at it but they all had really great flow.

ya i was at louise in sunday, one of the best pow days of my life, waist deep in spots and face shots almost every turn, it was siiiiiiiiiiiiiiick

also probably going to cop tommorow, anyone else?

hopefully ill be hittin the bigs, nothing fancy yet though. tuesday was ok, a bit sore but whatever!

shit you hurt your hip? that sucks dude. what happened.

im glad cop opened jumps but i skied shittily caue i havent jumpedi n like 3 weeks

i got some bad soft tissue damage in the joint and yesterday was my first day back on snow, thats why i wasent hitting anything

my update...i hate all you fuckers that are able to ski right now...seriously...hate you all...buy my invaders...$400 with bindings...never touched a rail
